Floral Delights suite

 Hello & welcome.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.

For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

During the week I played around with the gorgeous Floral Delights Collection & went a little crazy! I have 2 cards to share with you today but I also have a couple more put aside for a future blog. The suite is very pretty with lots of yellows, greens, peaches & browns mixed in among the flowers & branches of the DSP. There are Delightful Wishes stamps & dies, pretty ribbons & bee trinkets & soft vellum prints. I didn't purchase the entire collection but I certainly had enough with the papers, stamps, dies & ribbon to create. Here are my first two cards...

Both of these cards pick out some of the colours in the DSP & feature embossing but they are different in other ways.
My first card has a soft Lemon Lolly base & a Basic White matte embossed with the Eyelets embossing folder. There is a strip of Lemon Lolly & DSP to the left which holds together the main focus of the card - some tags & flowers.

I fussy cut the big bloom & leaves as well as some small flowers. The tags were diecut with the Greetings of the Season dies which, sadly, are retired. There is some white 1/4" ribbon & yellow baker's twine tied through the top & trimmed to fit the card. The tags are adhered directly to the base but the flowers are raised on dimensionals.

The sentiment is two parts - one stamped in Old Olive & diecut, the other stamped in Early Espresso & diecut on a tag. I chose not to add any embellishments as there is lots happening already on the card!

The second card has a little more work involved in it.

I started with an Old Olive base & cut a strip of Old Olive as well. This pulls the main focus of the card together. On a Basic White matte I embossed a floral pattern from the Glass & Gardens embossing folder then blended some green over the raised image. I can't tell you what green as I just wanted a very subtle colour & used whatever green was left on my blending brush!
The next step was to create a bouquet of flowers & foliage.
I diecut some Lemon Lolly & Daffodil Delight flower pieces with the Delightful Wishes dies plus some Old Olive & Pear Pizzazz (why did Stampin' Up® retire my favourite green??) leaves & also stamped some leaves with the same colours. The centres were punched from Two Tone Crumb Cake with the centres created by dotting some Pecan Pie in the centre.

The next step was to add some Daffodil Delight hexagons made with the retired Beautiful Shapes dies. These formed the base for the flowers & were adhered to the Old Olive strip. I heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set prior to adhering the leaves & flowers, some of which were raised with some mini glue dots, others with dimensionals. Finally, I added some Holographic Resin Dots to complete the card.

This is such a pretty collection of products. I so enjoyed creating with them all & can't wait to share more with you in a few weeks.

Well, that's if for my creations. I hope you enjoyed this first look at the Floral Delights collection.

Click here to check them all out in my online shop. As Stampin' Up® have so many beautiful kits available I usually feature a different kit in each blog so that you can see the range.

This week the feature kit is called So Much To Celebrate & is a card kit that has supplies to create 9 cards to send for celebrations & congratulations.

Here's how Stampin' Up® describe it...

Whether it’s for a graduation, a wedding, or welcoming a new baby, nothing says congratulations quite like a handmade card. With the all-inclusive So Much to Celebrate Kit featuring gold foil details, precut flowers, and puffy stickers, you can make beautiful cards to celebrate any occasion.

If you feel that you need to add this to your list then click here to purchase one from my online store.

If you shop with me then there are some new changes to the rewards program that you should know about. In the past we were able to create a host code & group together individual orders & pass on the 'hostess' benefits to customers with qualifying orders. This has now been replaced with a 'Rewards' program that gives all customers who place an order with a qualifying amount a credit of 10% of their order to use on future orders. This will be displayed during the checkout process or your order. Stampin' Up® feel that this is a fairer way of rewarding all customers.

Lastly, there have been lots of great items added to the clearance rack which is now called Last Chance items so make sure you check them out using this link to my online store.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can order something unique.

I hope you've enjoyed today's post. It's great to create something totally unique to you.

That's all I have for you this week.

My next blog is on Wednesday & I have a funfold for you.

In my next Sunday blog I will share the Cake Celebrations stamps & dies. These products have been placed on the last chance list so it seems like a great opportunity to share ideas for using them before they are gone!

I hope you can join me for both of them.
Well, that's it for another week. I hope you enjoyed this post & come back for more.

Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison.

Here are some links to the products that I used today & some craft room essentials.
