Using the Basics 3D embossing folders

If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍  This week I am sharing some creations made with the Basics 3D embossing folders as the starting point combined with the gorgeous Awash in Beauty DSP & some of the new colours that will be released in Stampin' Up®'s new Annual catalogue which goes live in just 2 days!!! There is a colour refresh which means that some of the core colours are retiring, some brand new ones are arriving & some previously retired colours are returning. Not to mention that there are new In-Colours for 2023-25! Wowsers, there's lots to share from this new cat

Mid Week Blog #79 - Z Fold pop up fun fold

 Hello & welcome to my blog, My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia.  I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about.  Today I will show you how to create a pop up card crossed with a Z fold! It's a gorgeous fold that is easy to make but looks impressive. I have seen a number of creations with this fold, the first was on Youtube by Lisa at Lisa's Stamp Studio but the measurements I used today were taken from a Pinterest post linked to Crafted by Kate as they are in metric & Lisa's were in Imperial.  I

I'm super excited as this is the third OSR I have attended. Mid Week Blog #78 - Creating distressed watercolour cardstock

That's what this blog is about.  Today I will show you how to create beautiful papers with inks, blending brushes, a little bit of water & cardstock! The first step is selecting the colours. I chose Bumblebee, Crumb Cake & So Saffron. The first colour applied is So Saffron The next colour is Bumblebee. There is more depth to the cardstock now. The third colour applied is Crumb Cake which gives the cardstock a subtle tan. As

If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍  Today's creation uses the 3D hinged cigar box I featured in my Mid Week blog as my starting point. I have used the Sweet Citrus stamp set & dies to decorate the box plus I've added a beautiful card made with the same stamps & dies as well as the hybrid embossing folder that is part of the bundle. Mid Week Blog #77 - Making a hinged cigar box

I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. That's what this blog is about.  My creation this week is called a cigar box. It's a hinged box with a recessed centre that is perfect for small gifts such as chocolates or hand creams. Here's the step by step process I took to create my box. The template shows how to create your own. The measurements are 29.5x20.8cm Score on both long sides at 28, 26.5, 25 & 23.5.
