Hello & welcome to my blog, My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia.  I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about.  Today I have a super easy card sketch to share with you plus 2 cards that I made using that design.  Firstly, here are the two creations... ..and here is the sketch I used to create them... The measurements are: 1st matte (not shown in sketch) - 8.9 x 13.2cm  I added this extra matte to give colour to the front & so that I could have a contrast behind the DSP when using Basic White for the 2nd ma

I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. If this is your first time here, thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you. If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍 This week's cards both started with the lovely, tranquil Oceanfront stamp set but they are both very different. Here they are side by side... I love how they turned out & also love how the one stamp set can be used with other stamps & dies to give totally different looks. The first card is similar to others I have made but this time I wanted more of an evening feel to the card rather than a sunny day time. I used both the Oceanfront & Waves of Inspiration stamp sets so that I could have the cute pelican as a feature. The colours used for t

That's what this blog is about.  Today's blog features blending, masks & silhouette stamping. It's very useful to create background mattes for cards & is very versatile as the combination of colours, stamps & masks is endless - just use whatever you have on hand! I started with some Basic White mattes, blending brushes and the retired Butterflies & Flowers decorative masks. Remember, you can use whatever mat

If this is your first time here, thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you. If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍 This week's cards are created using the lovely Circle Sayings stamp set. The set comes with lots of semi-circle images & sentiments & is complimented with a 2 3/8" (6cm) punch. The set goes really well with other stamps & embossing folders that I already have in my stash so I decided to make 2 cards using retired By the Bay DSP, Seashells embossing folder & the new Twisted Rope embossing folder. I hope you like them. I chose beachy, earthy colours for both of the cards & different layouts.  The first card is all about the shell

That's what this blog is about.  Today's blog features two cards made using the new Circle Sayings stamp set with it's co-ordinating 2 3/8" (6cm) punch. They are based on cards from the annual catalogue (pg17) & as with most CASE'd cards are similar to the original but slightly different. They are quick & easy to make & I had a lot of fun re-creating them. I hope you like them too. Here are my finished c

If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍 This week's cards are created using the He's All That stamp set & the co-ordinating dies, All That. I am trying to be good & use up old stock so I've included some DSP & diecuts when creating. I hope you enjoy them. These 2 will go into my stash for upcoming birthdays. Male cards are always a premium aren't they? Here's how I made them. For the blue card I started with a Blueberry Bushel card base & added 2 mattes, one Night of Navy & one DSP from Rings of Love. I decided to offset them a little for a slightly differ

My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about.  I do love a technique that is different but can still create a bit of a WOW factor to make a card special. This week I have a very easy technique that I hope you enjoy. Here is a closeup of the finished project.... To start this techniques you will need some DSP & a piece of clear plastic window sheet. The DSP featured here is from Like An Animal. Cut the DSP into 1cm strips. Next, apply a small
