Early Christmas creations

Image
Hello everyone!  Welcome to my blog! I have been super busy creating lots of lovely things to share with you this week. Last week I mentioned the gorgeous papers I had just received & this week I've made 3 cards & 3 gift giving ideas using those papers. Here's a pic of everything I made. There's so much to talk about but I won't go into lots & lots of details, I'll just give you a quick rundown of what I made. First up, I'll start with the cards. The card on the left was made with Cherry Cobbler cardstock, embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder & has 2 strips of the Sweet Stockings DSP, one on the front and a smaller strip inside. The detail on the front is piece from the same collection mounted on some Old Olive cardstock. The sentiment is from the A Wish For Everything stamp set. A few scattered rhinestones & the card is complete. The centre card has a piece of Soft Suede cardstock, embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folde

Male'ish' cards

Hello everyone, Thanks for visiting my blog today. Now the title of today's blog may have you scratching your head 😕 but let me explain..... Last week I said I was going to create some cards for the boys as Father's day is close in Australia & I did have a play around, but... Once I'd finished them I thought, maybe they're not just for the boys, some would suit those who are not really into hearts & flowers, lavender & lace etc. So, here's my creations from this week.... I'm going to start with the order I made the cards in. The first one is the green trees...   This one was super easy. I started with some strips from the Beauty of the Earth DSP, mounting the plainer pattern on some Mango Melody cardstock, stamped a sentiment using the From All of Us stamp set & die cut using the smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies then punched some ovals in gold card using the Double Oval punch. I glued the ovals in an 'atom' type pattern &

Nuts about squirrels!

Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog. I hope you've all stayed safe this week & found time to do things that make you smile. I've had a really busy, productive week. Apart from going into work as well as making this weeks cards I decided to take a leap out of my comfort zone & join in a Mega Bundle tutorial that my up-line is holding. What a learning curve! Thankfully there are lots of helpful, talented people waiting in the sidelines to help me out when I came across issues I hadn't faced before. I worked hard & have completed my card for the bundle & just have to submit it. I must admit I'm a little nervous but boy it was helpful to step outside of my normal areas of expertise & try something new. I can't share it with you yet but when it goes live I'll give you all the details of how you can get your hands on the bundle. Getting back to my usual blog info, I also had oodles of fun playing around with the gorgeous Nuts about Squirrels stamp set

Blossoms in Bloom beauties

Hello everyone & welcome to this weeks blog.  My focus this week has been using the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set & matching Many layered blossoms dies. I decided to create my own DSP by stamping some Basic White card stock then cutting it to use on two of the cards. The third card was stamped directly on the front. Here's what I made..... Starting with the beautiful Gorgeous grape card in the front of the pic I used Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight to create a simple but stunning front for this birthday card. I added some pearls to the flower centres & across the card and viola! The next two cards started with one piece of Basic White card stock & the smaller of the flower stamps. Colours used are Fresh Freesia, Magenta Madness, Pear Pizzazz & Daffodil delight. The card on the left uses a piece of handmade DSP mounted on some magenta madness. On top of this the sentiment, stamped in black using the retired Beautifu

All for Baby

Hello everyone & welcome to this week's blog! What interesting weather we've had in Melbourne this week. Some beautiful mild winter days, crazy windy days & bucket loads of rain yesterday! Ah, Melbourne, you continue to keep us on our toes & allow us to get the most out of our wardrobe, all year round.😆 This week I've played around with some really cute baby card ideas. As I mentioned previously, I've been asked to make quite a few baby cards recently so this week I created some using the All for Baby stamp set & the co-ordinating Baby Clothes dies.  I just love how crisp, simple but sweet these turned out. In theory you could use both for a boy but I think I would probably use the blue for a boy & the peach for a girl. I'm a little bit of a traditionalist but I suppose it also depends on who you're giving the cards too as well? Anyway, here's a breakdown of what I used to create each one....... This peachy toned card was the first of t
