What a busy week!

Image
Happy Sunday everyone! Wow, that week certainly flew by! Isn't it funny how every day is exactly the same length in time but some seem to go past so much quicker? That was my week just gone. We were so happy to be able to finally visit my youngest daughter in her new home. She moved there at the very beginning of October but COVID restrictions & her work schedule meant that we were only able to get there this week. Such a lovely time seeing the work they've done so far. Looking forward to more visits & seeing what else they do to make it their own. I was also lucky to be able to catch up with a lovely bunch of ladies that I normally catch up with each month when we're not isolating in a pandemic! Haven't seen them face to face since, I think, February? We certainly enjoyed a good chat but also managed to get some card making done. I made 6 more for my collection but haven't decided what sentiments to do on a couple so will finish them when I decide. Here

Calendars & Christmas cards

Welcome back everyone, I hope you've all had a lovely week. Melbourne is slowly getting back to 'normal' with families reconnecting, friends catching up and socialising back on track. Just in time too, with Christmas only 32 days away!! I hope you've been able to get started on your present shopping or maybe even finished? I've managed to cross a few more presents off my list thanks to the wonders of on-line shopping. I've also been making some more Christmas cards to add to my selling collection & had a lovely play with designs of mini calendars for an order from a colleague. Here's some pics of the calendars that I've made..... I'm very happy with how pretty the calendars turned out & hope my friend loves them too.  Now for some of the Christmas cards. I really loved the cards I've previously shown you using the Tag Buffet, Ornamental Envelope  & Christmas Gleaming stamp sets & wanted to have a play around with some different d

Free as a bird!

Welcome back everyone. My goodness the world can change so quickly can't it? I was lucky enough to be able to catch up with some family yesterday for a picnic in the park. Driving along the highway to meet them I was amazed at all the building & roadworks changes there have been while we've been in lockdown! It was wonderful to see the sights again & enjoy the glorious weather in Melbourne. 😍  And like the title of this week's post, I felt as 'Free as a bird'. I worked with some older DSP that co-ordinates with the Free As A Bird stamp set to create 3 different pieces this week. The first is a card with a cutaway piece, replacing that with a 3D sentiment. The second uses the cutaway piece with die cut leaves from the Forever Flourishing die set. The final piece to the trio was an easel mini calendar but made in a landscape design instead of the portrait style that my previous posts have used. Here's some pics Another item I worked on was an order for a

Good morning everyone & happy Sunday. What a glorious day we're having in Melbourne today. Not just the weather but the Premier has said we can gather with other people again & the 'ring of steel' is gone!!! I can visit my daughter in her new home & the care facility has opened up face-to-face visits again so I can see my Mum too. Wonderful, wonderful news after nearly 6 months without a proper visit. 💖  Yay!! I've been flat chat with my card making this week. I've started selling my cards to my co-workers & friends so have been madly creating calendars, Christmas cards & birthday cards. We also have some family birthdays next week (which we can also gather together to celebrate!) so my nights have been busy, busy trying to get it all done.  I've created a lovely set of cards & a gift box using the Stampin' up® 'Nothing's better than....' stamp set & 'Love you more than.....' die set & I'm really plea

Brightly Gleaming.

Hello everyone, I've had such an exciting week. We were allowed out again after more than 3 months of lockdown so my husband & I took advantage of it by having breakfast at a local cafe this morning. It was so nice to sit in the sun, watch the world go by & enjoy having a meal in public. We also were able to visit shops again so I took the opportunity to visit K Mart & the local $2 shop. Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that brekky at a cafe or shopping for craft supplies would get us so excited!   On the creative side I've been busy filling an order for some of the mini desk calendars I showed you in an earlier post. Here's some pics of some of them... I worked on more Christmas cards using the Tag Buffet kit with some lovely results.... And lastly I worked with some new Designer Series Paper I received this week called Brightly Gleaming.  The colours are lovely with one side of the DSP having a matte design & the other accented with met
