Tranquil thoughts creations

Image
Hello again & welcome back.  I have some simple but stunning cards to share with you this week. I worked with the Tranquil thoughts stamp set & the Tranquil dies but used them differently to what I've previously shared with you.  My first card I CASED from the very talented Kylie Bertucci.... Kylie had showcased the Tranquil thoughts & Tranquil dies earlier this year & gave me the inspiration for this card. I used Gorgeous Grape for the card base & embossed a piece of Highland Heather for the layer using the Old World Paper embossing die. I rubbed the card stock with Perfect Medium then heat embossed that in gold. I embossed a smaller piece of Highland Heather but reversed the embossing & adhered it on a piece of Gorgeous Grape. I used a die from the Tranquil dies & stuck it under & over the smaller square & mounted that onto the card. I fussy cut the sentiment which matched the centre piece & mounted that also. It's a different techniq

Press on!

Good morning everyone, I hope you've all had a lovely week. I've had a very busy week creating lots of lovely things to share with you. I've made some cards using the Press On stamp set which was loads of fun as I got to use my markers as well. I had a lovely day with some card making friends & I also started on an order for an 80th birthday card & 60 chocolate sleeves to go with it! I'm part way through the order but it will be done in time. To start with I'll show you the cards I made using the Press On stamp set. I decided to go with some beautiful aqua shades this week, with a little colour twist to both of the cards.... Very happy with the end results of playing around with some new colour ways. The 'confidence' card uses Crumb Cake, Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay & white. I stamped some coffee cups, a sentiment & the coffee beans on basic white, then coloured some parts with our Stampin' blends. This was mounted on some Bermuda Bay DS

Pampered pets series

Hi everyone & welcome back to my blog! I hope this finds you all well & happily crafting. Just a short blog for you today. This week, as promised, I am featuring some more cards using the Pampered Pets stamp set, Playful Pets DSP & the co-ordinating Pets dies. I wanted to have a play around with some different colours this time so here's what I came up with.... I tried some brown themed cardstock for these two cards & am very happy with how they turned out. The colours I used are Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede, Early Espresso & Sahara Sand. I love the expressions of the animals so tried to match the sentiment with the face.  They come from Approaching Perfection (Sale-a-bration) & the Pampered Pets stamp set. The sentiment backgrounds on the dog card are created with dies from the Stitched with Whimsy & Stitched So Sweetly sets. The embossed background is made using the Old World Paper embossing folder. Here's a closer look at them.... The final card in

Sweet strawberries!

Welcome back to another gorgeous Sunday! I've got a mixed bag to show you this week. As promised I've had a little play around with the Sweet Strawberry stamp set & got the Oval Occasions set out as well. I also have some blue toned beautiful cards that I made for an order.  First up is the Sweet strawberry card...... I think this one is so pretty using some Shaded Spruce cardstock for the base & picking out the Real Red colouring from the Berry Delightful DSP. I stamped the strawberry & punched it out then coloured in the  flower using some Stampin' blends which was fun as I'm not very confident with them but it turned out really good! I fussy cut them out & decorated the front piece with them. Sweet! Next up was having a play with the Oval Occasions stamp set which looks like it's more suitable for Easter with the bunnies but actually is pretty versatile as the sentiments & tiny flowers can be used at any time & the bunnies are cute for ne
