Pampered pets series

 Hi everyone & welcome back to my blog!

I hope this finds you all well & happily crafting. Just a short blog for you today. This week, as promised, I am featuring some more cards using the Pampered Pets stamp set, Playful Pets DSP & the co-ordinating Pets dies.

I wanted to have a play around with some different colours this time so here's what I came up with....


I tried some brown themed cardstock for these two cards & am very happy with how they turned out. The colours I used are Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede, Early Espresso & Sahara Sand. I love the expressions of the animals so tried to match the sentiment with the face.  They come from Approaching Perfection (Sale-a-bration) & the Pampered Pets stamp set. The sentiment backgrounds on the dog card are created with dies from the Stitched with Whimsy & Stitched So Sweetly sets. The embossed background is made using the Old World Paper embossing folder. Here's a closer look at them....


The final card in the series was made using some basics that co-ordinate beautifully with the DSP - Black, Basic White & Real Red.  I finished the card with a cute little bow & mounted the sentiment on a rotated piece of black using the Stitched shapes dies.


I'm working on a few fun folds & sketches this week & will be highlighting the Press On stamp set in my next blog as I do love coffee! I hope you can join me again next week. Take care & have fun creating!

Peaceful Poppies gift set

 Hello everyone & welcome back to my blog! Well, we made it through the floor installation & have put back about 2/3's of our furniture. I looks so much better & was worth the inconvenience. I am looking forward to when all the sorting, culling & placement of furniture & goods is all over so that I can get back to making cards. I've been kept occupied but I've missed creating. Anyway, here's some pics of a card set I made for a friends birthday using the Painted Poppies stamp set. I used Just Jade, Pretty Peacock & Real Red for the main card stock & added in some Granny Apple Green & water colours for the flowers. There are 5 cards using various DSP from the Poppy Parade collection with matching envelopes. Good Morning Magnolia!

 Hello all & welcome back. This week has been crazy busy! We've nearly finished packing up most of the house in readiness for the new flooring plus Mum's quick stay in hospital ended up being an 8 day stay! There wasn't much time for crafting unfortunately 😞 but I promised some Good Morning Magnolia cards so I looked back over some of the cards & gifts I've made in the past year & found quite a few. Here's a special selection for you..... This card is the first one I made using the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set & I still love the way it turned out. I used a spritz with green ink for the background & hand coloured the image. Being one of the earliest cards from when I first started using Stampin' Up products, the colours are not unique to SU but work well for the card.    This next card was something a little different that I wanted to try. Etched in nature

 Hello everyone & Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums, Grandmums & special ladies today. I was lucky enough to be able to spend time will all my children today & was very spoilt with some yummy food & flowers. It's always nice when we can all be together now that they've grown up & moved on with their lives. This weeks cards are made using a stamp set from the brand new catalogue which launched earlier this week called Etched in Nature. The stamps are very details & as the name suggests, are all about nature. I chose two different styles of card, colourways & stamps.   The first card I used natural, earthy colours & a cute cut out design to highlight the mushrooms & sentiment in the middle of the card. The card base is Crumb Cake with DSP from Forever Greenery which, sadly, is now retired. I stamped the mushrooms in Crumb Cake & hand painted the greenery with an alcohol marker then mounted that on some Shaded Spruce. They are both die

Love of leaves trio

 Hello everyone,  Welcome back to my blog. I hope you've had a wonderful week. My week got better as it progressed as I caught a cold & rested up for the first half of the week. I was feeling much better later in the week & able to make some lovely cards for you using the Love of Leaves stamp set & Stitched Leaves dies. These were all made using the same stamp set & two have die cut leaves but they are all quite different. The first card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Stamp Review Crew & was made using some of the 2019-21 Night of Navy DSP which I cut with the Curvy dies, using half for the front of the card & the remainder on the inside. I die cut some small leaves from Seaside Spray & then mounted them at an angle on the DSP. I stamped a sentiment in Seaside spray on the card base & another on a strip of Seaside Spray using Night of Navy. A simple but effective card.
