A look at the gorgeous Bee Mine suite collection.

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. I have been blogging since 2020 but took a short break in the latter half of 2023. For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome! Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is crafedbyalison@gmail.com.

I hope you enjoy this week's blog which features a new suite from the January to April Mini catalogue which just launched on the 4th January. Links are provided at the end of this blog if you would like to purchase any products from my online Stampin' Up® shop.

I have created 3 cards for you this week which are super cute. The Bee My Valentine stamp set is from the Bee Mine suite and is perfect for Valentine's day in February but I wanted to show you that the set is also perfect for everyday cards too.

Here is the complete set.

I'll start with the simplest card first then step them up.

This was created using a Sweet Sorbet matte on a Basic White card base. Over that I added 2 pieces of DSP from the Bee Mine DSP pack. On a piece of Pool Party cardstock I stamped a sentiment in Pool Party with some cute buzzing marks as well as a few love hearts in Sweet Sorbet. This was layered over the join of the 2 DSP pieces. The bee was stamped in So Saffron & Memento black while the wings were stamped on Basic White cardstock that had a Mint Macaron wash before stamping. He was punched out then raised on dimensionals. The hearts & flowers are part of the suite, Adhesive backed Hearts & Flowers. A simple but cute card.

The second card had just a little more detail. I started with a Daffodil Delight base, adding a Early Espresso matte with a Daffodil Delight matte that had been stamped with the honeycomb pattern, also in Daffodil Delight. I popped 2 different patterns from the DSP at angles then stamped a different bee in Early Espresso & Daffodil Delight. This guy's wings were stamped on vellum in So Saffron though then he was mounted with dimensionals also. This was busy enough without embellishments I thought. Another simple card with some different elements.

For the final card I wanted to add some WOW elements.
On a Sweet Sorbet base I added a matte of Lemon Lime Twist. I stamped the honeycomb pattern in Daffodil Delight on a matte of Basic White and also on some Daffodil Delight which I then fussy cut. A strip of Sweet Sorbet was run through the embossing machine using one of the 3D embossing folders. I stamped some flowers in Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet & Pool party. I also stamped some wings on vellum in So Saffron & the sentiment in black. The flowers & sentiment were fussy cut & I added some Lemon Lime Twist stems & leaves using the retired Splendid Stems dies. It was then just a matter of layering the different elements with a strip of DSP on the front until I had it how I liked it. I love the busyness & brightness of this card & I'm sure it will bring a smile to whoever receives it.
