Monogram messages with a twist

Image
Good Morning everyone!  We have a glorious day outside in Melbourne, hope your day is just as nice. This week I have had a play with the Monogram messages stamp set & really enjoyed thinking up something a little different for getting the most out of the steps whilst also using some of the freebies from the Sale-a-bration catalogue which ends today! I'll be placing one more order to make the most of the free DSP. 😀 The cards I have for you this week are birthday themed cards but two could easily be used for other occasions..... The colours for these cards were selected to co-ordinate with the DSP colours. They're quite simple cards with just a little bling to finish. 'Celebrate' uses the Oh So Ombre DSP with matching Old Olive Card stock. To add some brightness I added a little Bumblee for the tiny flowers & heat embossed the sentiment, adding some fussy cut flowers & leaves for a little detail. I finished it off with a few black rhinestones & angled t

Corner bouquet creations

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I'll be sharing with you a little stamp set that can pack a big punch! My focus stamp set this week is the Corner Bouquet set available in the Sale-a-bration catalogue which ends in one week! Eeekkk. That two months has flown by. I've made 3 different styles of cards this week and here is a pic of the completed cards.... As you can see, the cards are all quite different but they were all made using the smaller of the bouquet stamps. The first one is a fancy fold that also incorporates some of the free Flower & Field DSP. I used Real Red Card stock for the base & Old Olive to frame the stamp & half of the sentiment. The other half is waiting inside the card.  For the second card I used Old Olive for the card base & embossed with the Layered leaves embossing folder. I added a simple layer to the front, the stamped bouquet with detailed flowers plus a greeting & a little matching bow. Inside is a smaller stamp to tie it all in.  I

Art Gallery & Fine Art Florals

Welcome back to my blog & thanks for your time.   This week, as promised, I'm sharing with you some lovely cards I made using the Art Gallery stamp set & the Fine Art Floral DSP. There's a die set to go with these called Floral Gallery but I'm saving that for another week!  I had so much fun creating some beautiful cards this week. There are 2 sets I'm showing, one in yellows & one in reds. I played around with the backing colours for this set, using white, Just Jade & Mint Macaron for the card bases. I layered with some contrasting black & Daffodil delight & stamped the sentiment straight onto the image layer. The card on the left uses Just Jade for the base with Layered Leaves embossing folder to add some dimension. The card on the right is simply layered with fanned card stock & a touch of ribbon. I used white on white for the card on the left & wrapped a little bit of Mint macaron ribbon around the top layers. The background is emboss

Painted Poppies

Hello everyone & welcome back. This week's post will be looking at the Painted Poppies stamp set & co-ordinating dies from the Painted labels & Poppy moments sets. I always enjoy creating with these sets as there are so many easy ways to use them & the results are always so pretty. Here's some of the cards I made this week using them....   I used some new colours for these two cards - Blackberry Bliss & Cherry Cobbler. I co-ordinated them with some Bumblebee & Old olive cardstock. The only stamping involved was for the sentiments - Blossoms in bloom for the slimline & Tranquil thoughts for the sectioned card. A touch of softness with some linen ribbon & pearls & that's a couple of easy but lovely cards to add to the collection. The final card I made with the Painted poppies is for a friend's birthday & I used Poppy Parade cardstock, diecut the white cardstock using the Curvy dies & cut a piece of DSP for under the white. The
