Focus on Fun Folds

Image
Hello everyone, welcome to this week's blog! I hope you're all well & sane if you're living in a lockdown area. We've gotten through another week of lockdown in Melbourne & hope to be out of it by Wednesday. Fingers crossed the numbers improve so we can get out and about again. Apart from a few days onsite I've been able to play around with some fun fold ideas I found on Pinterest & Youtube. My first card is a flap fold for a family birthday soon which I cased from Lisa's stamp studio.  From the front it looks just like a regular card, but inside.......   Surprise! This cute little number is made using the In The Wild DSP on Early Espresso card stock. I also used a little bit of Forever Greenery for the smaller flap as I liked the combo with the jungle feel. The sentiment is cut from the Floral Gallery (front) & Well Written (inside flaps) dies. Quite easy to make but visually has a bit of WOW factor. My second card is super easy but gives a dif

Hello everyone,  Welcome back to my blog. Well, here we go again! Lockdown 5.0. 😢 This one is supposed to be only for 5 days but most people are sure it will go longer. For some it's a great time to craft but for others it means no money or possibly losing their job or business or being separated from those they love. Fingers crossed that more people get vaccinated, less cases happen & we can finally move forward towards a more 'normal' lifestyle. That being said, I have been able to complete a few lovely cards for you to look at today.  The stamp set I have focussed on is the beautiful Forever Ferns which is simply stunning on its own but when teamed with the Forever Greenery DSP or the new Expressions in Ink DSP looks so beautiful. This card was so simple to make, using a piece of Expressions in Ink DSP mounted on some Garden Green card stock, adding a gold hoop from the Forever Greenery suite to which I attached some die cut leaves using Pear Pizzazz & Old Oliv

Hello everyone, thanks for popping by. I hope you've had a great week just like me! As it was the last week of our school holidays I was able to catch up with a few friends as well as play around with my inks & papers. It's so nice to be able to sit & chat with friends again after such a tumultuous year or so. Fingers crossed the COVID cases in other states don't come back down this way so we can continue to enjoy spending time with those we love.  So, I got to create with some of the new DSP from the annual catalogue & boy was I impressed with the versatility of the Expressions in Ink papers. I made 4 cards using some of 2 sheets of paper but the hard part was deciding which side of the DSP to use & which of the co-ordinating colours to use! In the end I decided to stick to the one pattern in 2 different colour ways but mixed up the card stock to show you how many different colours could be used. Here's my creations..... At first I thought, yeah I'

Mountain Air stamp set - not just for the boys!

Hello again & welcome to my blog this week. Even though I'm on 'holidays' with the school break I've still managed to be very busy this week. I've got  an order for some baby cards, am prepping for my card group in a few weeks which I'm sharing the focus card for as well as making the cards for this blog! But I've had loads of fun in the process. Here's what I made using the Mountain Air stamp set. When I first started using the set I thought 'this is a pretty masculine stamp set but when I finished the first 2 cards I decided to have a play around with some softer colours. That's how I came up with the 'Rainbow clouds' card on the right. And I love it! I wanted to use up some of my older DSP so for the Mountain card I used two different patterns from the Country club papers, combining them with some Soft Suede & Crumb Cake card stock. The stamping is on Basic White & mounted onto some Soft Suede which I cut using the Stitched
