Hello & welcome to my blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by, whether it's your first time or you're a 'repeat offender'! ๐
Today I will show you one of the quickest ways to create a number of cards in a short time at a low cost using the Stampin' Up® kits collection. There is a great selection of different kits available from the shop starting from $21 (AUD) for 8 cards which is such a good way to get started on your card making journey. The kits come with all the bits and bobs you need to make at least 8 cards so you can start collecting stamp colours, adhesives & embellishments without having to do all the hard work of working out what to order. The only thing that's not included in some kits is an acrylic stamping block.
This week I am using the beautiful Sentimental Rose card kit. Here are some pics of the process along the way....
This is how the box arrives. Everything is neatly wrapped, ready for you to explore!
Everything has been taken out to show you exactly what is included.
There is a 6 page pamphlet with easy to follow instructions in picture form.
I completed one card as per the instructions then tweaked a couple of things to change the cards slightly. The card in the centre is close to what the instructions said, the others I played around with. I added a sentiment 'To You' from the retired stamp set Hooray to You to a tag from the kit for something a little different.
Next I created the card in the back right close to the instructions & fiddled with the other two to again change them a little. The 'Thinking of You' sentiment is an extra stamp that comes in the kit.
Finally I made my favourite colour combo. The original design is in the centre. The other two have been altered slightly including dying the twine in the stamp colour, Calypso Coral, to add an extra pop.
Here are the final cards displayed as a set including the acetate gift box.
And finally, the set all wrapped up, ready to give to my friend for her birthday. As this is a gift I wanted to have a variety of sentiments so I didn't include the Happy Mother's Day sentiment so she would be able to have more variety.
Now that the kit is finished I can use the stamp set for other projects as I please. As the kit was for my friend I decided to make a card & also added a belly band for a rose scented soap & decorated a gift bag for it all to go in.
I didn't use all of the adhesives or the mini Stampin' Spot as I'm collecting them to give as gifts. I already have these supplies so didn't want to waste them by opening them when someone else could use them.
All up I spent around 1 1/2 hours creating, which was bliss, & I got 9 cards done! Very happy with my night. ๐ฅฐ I really enjoyed creating with this kit & have a few more to open. I'm looking forward to sharing more kits with you in the future. If you would like to purchase any of the kits that Stampin' Up® offer I have included a link below that will take you directly to my shop. While you're there, perhaps you'll check out the 'Last Chance' section where all the retiring products from the May '21 to Apr '22 annual catalogue are listed. Some are up to 50% off! That also means that there's only a few more weeks until the launch of the new May '22 to Apr '23 annual catalogue! I've got an early release copy and I know my bank account will be taking a battering as there are some amazing new things in store!๐๐คค
That's it for this week's blog. I hope you enjoyed it & can come back for my Wednesday Mid Week blog. This week I will show you a new card sketch, #3. My regular blog on Sunday looks at the beautiful On the Horizon stamp, Horizon dies & stunning New Horizons DSP that is in the January - June 2022 mini catalogue.
If you would like me to send you a catalogue please send me a message on my FaceBook page at Crafted by Alison. If you would like to order any of the materials I used in today's cards I've popped some links down below for you that go directly to my Stampin' Up shop. If you would like to buy any of the cards I show in my blogs they are available in my shop on FaceBook as well or you can message me to check if they are still available.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
