Making more than just Christmas cards with Merriest Moments

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create some beautiful cards using the Merriest Moments stamp set & the Merriest Frames Hybrid embossing folder & die.

Last week I said I would be creating with the Pansy Patch stamp set but after using the Merriest Moments stamp set during the week I wanted to show you the completed card plus a Christmas card using the same set. To be honest though there were so many different ways of using this lovely set that I've decided to do a series of posts over the next few months to showcase some of the ways to use these products. This post will be part 1 and in each post I will show you a combination of Christmas & general creations. I hope you like what I have for you today. Here are the two cards together then I'll talk you through how I created each one.

I'll start with the card that I started creating during the week for my Mid Week blog.

The mid week blog featured the Baby Wipe technique & I used the Merriest Moments stamps with the wipes to create a fun, any occasion card. The colours are Terracotta Tile, Calyspo Coral, Pretty Peacock & Rococco Rose on a Basic White base. The DSP is from the In The Wild DSP pack with lots of animals & jungle prints. Although this is from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue I still have some of the pack left & loved mixing the colours from the stamped sample with the DSP & matching cardstock. This card is almost identical to the sneak peak from the mid week blog.....

...but I've added it to a Basic White card base, popped on some 2019-21 In Colour faceted dots & some spots around the flowers using the Merriest Moments stamps. The sentiment is heat embossed in white & comes from a Sale A Bration stamp set called Special Moments. I then diecut it using the Deckled Rectangles dies. I love the bold colours and being able to use what most people might think of as a Christmas set for everyday cards.
The next card I kept more traditional Christmas.

I cut a matte 10.5 x 14.8 to use with the embossing folder. In the centre frame I stamped a Christmas greeting. To add some colour I stamped some flowers & greenery using Real Red, Shaded Spruce & So Saffron & diecut them. These were arranged with Multipurpose liquid glue & dimensionals. This was attached to the card base & some Champagne Rhinestone jewels were added for a little bling. The inside of the card has a Shaded Spruce matte then a Basic White matte with matching stamped images. A very simple card to create but also quite elegant.

That's it for another week. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you can join me again on Wednesday for my Mid Week blog. This week I will show you how to create a gift bag using DSP. These are very handy all year round for gifting. In next Sunday's blog I will be stamping with the limited time Framed Flotets bundle. This includes some amazing frame dies & co-ordinating stamp set, a really beautiful set. I hope you can join me for both of those.

If you would like to order any of the supplies I used today you can head over to my Stampin' Up® shop using the links below. Please note that there are some supplies I used this week that are not available any more as they are In Colours from previous years. That doesn't mean you can't recreate your own version of these cards though! Just swap out the retired items for whatever you have in your stash.

If you would like to purchase any of the cards I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison.

If you would like me to send you a catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

Thanks for stopping by, til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
