Happier than Happy forest creature creations.

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. Today's blog has some really cute papers & images that can be used for baby cards, kid's birthdays or for animal lovers. The DSP is called Happy Forest Friends, the stamp set is Happier than Happy & the matching dies are called Happy Forest dies. They all co-ordinate beautifully & make quick & easy cards or more intricate creations. This week I have 2 cards for you, one for a new baby & a celebration card. I hope you like them.

The first card I created to welcome a new baby. It's a simple design but the papers & die cuts make it so easy to make. I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock & embossed it with the Timber embossing folder then used one of the circles from the Stylish Shapes dies to create a cut out. The next step was to stamp the gorgeous bear in Crumb Cake & die cut it. I placed him partially out of the hole & glued down the hidden part of his body to keep him in place. I then added a piece of DSP from the Happy Forest Friends pack behind him. I wrapped some jute string around this before mounting it with dimensionals on a Crumb Cake card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Evening Evergreen & punched with the Pick-a-banner punch. This was mounted over the jute string with dimensionals & I added a couple of the Faux Sea Glass shapes on the sentiment as well as the card front. Lastly was the mushrooms. I then added a small strip of the same DSP and stamped some mushrooms on the inside of the card & on an envelope in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand & Calypso Coral. The last step was to stamp 2 little butterflies in Calypso Coral which I diecut & added to the card front. Simple but super cute.

The next card is a lot brighter as I mixed up pieces of the DSP as a background for the card front.

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base to co-ordinate with the DSP colours. I cut pieces of DSP & placed them on some Basic White. Next was the stamping. A cute little fox this time along with some mushrooms. The fox is Cajun Craze & the mushrooms are Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite & Calypso Coral. The mushrooms & fox were diecut & added to the front. I reserved a couple of mushrooms for the diecut circle that had been cut from the first card, then added a few 2020-22 In Colour enamel dots.

I used a combination of dimensionals & glue dots to give different heights to the images. The last step was stamping the inside of the card & the envelope.

That's it for another week. Thanks so much for stopping by. If you would like to order any of the supplies I used today you can head over to my Stampin' Up® shop using the links below. Please note that there are some supplies I used this week that are not available any more as they are retired stock. That doesn't mean you can't recreate your own version of these cards though! Just swap out the retired items for whatever you have in your stash.

I hope that you've enjoyed this week's blog & will join me again on Wednesday when I will be showing you how to use the Stampin' Up® stamping platform - the Stamparatus. In next week's Sunday blog I have another cute stamp set for you, Elephant Parade. I hope you can join me for both of them.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can or order something unique.
