Elephants are on Parade!

Hello, welcome to my blog & Merry Christmas to everyone!

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. Today's blog features a gorgeous new stamp set called Elephants on Parade. This had been in the catalogue since May but I've only just received it. It's a lovely set, I hope you love it too.

I made 2 cards for you this week. One is a baby card for a friend who is due very early January. The other is a funfold step card.

The first card I'll show you is the baby card.

I used some old and some new for this little cutey. The matte & sentiment is Tahitian tide but the embossing folder is a retired one called Dandelions. It's very delicate & I thought it would be perfect for our little fella to sit under. I first added a little Tahitian Tide to the middle of the card front with a blending brush before embossing. The sentiment is heat embossed with clear powder so it just highlights the cardstock colour. 'Welcome' is a demonstrator only stamp set called Let's Create Together. For the little fella himself, I stamped him in Basic Gray then hand coloured with Derwent pencils. He was then diecut with the Elephant dies & mounted with dimensionals. The final touch were a few Glossy Dots.

For the second card I chose a fancy fold that will appear in my mid week blog on Wednesday. It's a blend of step & pop up fancy fold that I created on the fly. It uses some more of the stamps from the set but also incorporates some DSP from the Happy Forest Friends DSP pack.

If you would like more details on how I made this card then come back on Wednesday for all the details!

That's it for another week. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas day with your loved ones & have some time to relax as well. If you would like to order any of the supplies I used today you can head over to my Stampin' Up® shop using the links below. Please note that there are some supplies I used this week that are not available any more as they are retired stock. That doesn't mean you can't recreate your own version of these cards though! Just swap out the retired items for whatever you have in your stash.

I hope that you've enjoyed this week's blog & will join me again on Wednesday when I will be sharing with you the details on making the step card. In next week's Sunday blog I have a masculine themed card. I hope you can join me for both of them.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can or order something unique.

If you would like me to send you a catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

Thanks for stopping by, til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
