Hello, welcome to my blog,
My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. If this is your first time here, thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you. If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍
Today's blog features a stamp set that's a little bit different. It's called Days to Remember & when you first look at it you think, Calendars. But I'm here to show you that whilst it's very useful for creating calendars it can also come in handy for other important milestones or just to highlight the birthday of someone special with a very personalised card.
This card was created for a lovely friend of mine & uses precut DSP for the card base. Stampin' Up® have a pack of 4"x6" DSP called Abstract Beauty & there are lots of beautiful designs, many with gold foiling on them. It's also on clearance at a super low price so if you like a bargain then check it out in my
shop. This makes creating cards quick and easy as you can simply add a piece of ribbon, a sentiment & some bling and that's your card done!
But for this one I chose to add layers with some pansies & layering the sentiment. The pansies are stamped using the Pansy Patch stamp set. I chose Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss & Daffodil Delight. The leaves are Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen.
From the base up I have Basic White base, Abstract Beauty DSP, a Pretty Peacock rectangle with the month of February stamped & the number 14 circled.
The pansies were grouped together in one corner & "It's Your Day" stamped directly onto DSP, diecut with a small Layering Circle then backed with a larger, scalloped Layering Circle in Pretty Peacock. With all the detailing in the DSP I didn't think it needed any more bling.
That's how easy it is to create a very personalised card for someone special or for a special occasion such as a wedding or anniversary.
Now here are some pics of calendars I created for a customer at Christmas time that uses the stamp set as many people would think of using it.
There were 4 calendars made with plants & flowers as the central theme. They were made in an easel fold so that they could fold flat & be posted if needed. Here are some pics of the calendars along with a brief description of the stamp sets, dies & DSP used.

Stampin' Up® shop using the links below. Please note that there are some supplies I used this week that are not available any more as they are retired stock. That doesn't mean you can't recreate your own version of these cards though! Just swap out the retired items for whatever you have in your stash.
I hope you have enjoyed my creations today & can join me again on Wednesday when I will show you a new card sketch. On Sunday I have a lovely set to share with you called Honeybee Home. I have used this set before but it's just so pretty that I want to share some more creations with you. I hope you can join me for both of them.
