Disruption to my regular blog

Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting but unfortunately there won't be a blog from me today. Even though my Mum made it through hip surgery & returned to her nursing home she has unfortunately deteriorated & the staff are not expecting her to be with us for very much longer. As such, though I intended to finish off the planned cards for this blog, my focus has been on spending time with Mum. 

I feel that the next few weeks will be busy & difficult so I'm taking a little bit of time off from posting but will be back in a few weeks when things are better.

Mini Desk Calendars

 Welcome back! I thought I'd share a photo of some mini desk calendars I've created for gifts. They're pretty easy to make & I think they turned out lovely. I used Stampin up Forever Blossoms, Forever fern & Lovely You products to make them & there are more to be done but this is a little sample of what I've created so far.  I've also been busy making cards & gift boxes for birthdays (can't show you them yet as the recipient hasn't seen it & I don't want to spoil the surprise).   I also tried a Starburst design for the first time & thoroughly enjoyed making them. This will be a design I might make a few more times, including some for Christmas cards. These cards were made using old card stock & DSP that I'm trying to use up as I have plenty to work with but never enough time to use it all! That's all from me for now. Delicate Dahlias in Blues

 Hello Everyone & welcome to my blog, For this week's blog I decided to create some cards using the same basic design & build upon it. There are many examples around of 'Steppin' it up and what I have made this week is similar. These were made using one of the free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets which you can get when you purchase from the catalogue. I hope you like them. Now I'm not sure if you're aware of this but blue is my favourite colour! That made making these cards pretty easy for me. I started with a simple stamped card.... I used the 2 step stamping technique for both the leaves and flowers. The colours I used are Seaside Spray & Misty Moonlight and Garden Green. The smaller flower appears to be nestled behind the larger flower as I used the masking technique to cover some of the larger bloom. The sentiment is from the Biggest Wish stamp set, stamped straight onto the card front. I finished the card with a few blue Holiday Rhinestone basic jewels. Q...

Love of leaves trio

 Hello everyone,  Welcome back to my blog. I hope you've had a wonderful week. My week got better as it progressed as I caught a cold & rested up for the first half of the week. I was feeling much better later in the week & able to make some lovely cards for you using the Love of Leaves stamp set & Stitched Leaves dies. These were all made using the same stamp set & two have die cut leaves but they are all quite different. The first card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Stamp Review Crew & was made using some of the 2019-21 Night of Navy DSP which I cut with the Curvy dies, using half for the front of the card & the remainder on the inside. I die cut some small leaves from Seaside Spray & then mounted them at an angle on the DSP. I stamped a sentiment in Seaside spray on the card base & another on a strip of Seaside Spray using Night of Navy. A simple but effective card.
