Disruption to my regular blog

Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting but unfortunately there won't be a blog from me today. Even though my Mum made it through hip surgery & returned to her nursing home she has unfortunately deteriorated & the staff are not expecting her to be with us for very much longer. As such, though I intended to finish off the planned cards for this blog, my focus has been on spending time with Mum. 

I feel that the next few weeks will be busy & difficult so I'm taking a little bit of time off from posting but will be back in a few weeks when things are better.

Corner bouquet creations

 Happy Sunday everyone! Today I'll be sharing with you a little stamp set that can pack a big punch! My focus stamp set this week is the Corner Bouquet set available in the Sale-a-bration catalogue which ends in one week! Eeekkk. That two months has flown by. I've made 3 different styles of cards this week and here is a pic of the completed cards.... As you can see, the cards are all quite different but they were all made using the smaller of the bouquet stamps. The first one is a fancy fold that also incorporates some of the free Flower & Field DSP. I used Real Red Card stock for the base & Old Olive to frame the stamp & half of the sentiment. The other half is waiting inside the card.  For the second card I used Old Olive for the card base & embossed with the Layered leaves embossing folder. I added a simple layer to the front, the stamped bouquet with detailed flowers plus a greeting & a little matching bow. Inside is a smaller stamp to tie it all in....

Peaceful moments

 Hello everyone,  I apologise for the late issue this week. I've been incredibly busy packing up the house in readiness for the new flooring & Mum was taken to hospital so I've been visiting her every day too. This meant that I got a little behind with making my cards for the blog. But, all good, cards are now finished & ready to share with you! 😀 This week I focused on using a stamp set that is just sentiments which meant I was able to create 2 completely different cards by changing which stamps I added to the mix. The focus stamp set is Peaceful Moments which is just a mixture of sentiments. The two stamp sets I chose to add to the cards are the Painted Poppies & Baby Pull Toys sets. All for Baby

 Hello everyone & welcome to this week's blog! What interesting weather we've had in Melbourne this week. Some beautiful mild winter days, crazy windy days & bucket loads of rain yesterday! Ah, Melbourne, you continue to keep us on our toes & allow us to get the most out of our wardrobe, all year round.😆 This week I've played around with some really cute baby card ideas. As I mentioned previously, I've been asked to make quite a few baby cards recently so this week I created some using the All for Baby stamp set & the co-ordinating Baby Clothes dies.  I just love how crisp, simple but sweet these turned out. In theory you could use both for a boy but I think I would probably use the blue for a boy & the peach for a girl.
