Mid Week Blog #75 - Quick & Easy card designs

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about. Today I will be showing you how to create some quick & easy cards for those times when you need a card quickly or for when you want to create a lot of cards without spending hours & hours slaving away at your crafting desk.

In February I shared a set of cards with you that I had created using the Something Fancy dies & Hues of Happiness DSP. The following cards are the rest of the set of cards made with these dies & DSP.

They are easy to create as they use pieces of DSP that doesn't need much apart from a sentiment & a little bling.

This card has a smaller piece of DSP backed with a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.

Nothing but DSP here with the sentiment & some 2021-23 In Colour jewels. The inside has a piece of Magenta Madness behind the Basic White layer to add a little extra pop.

Another card with DSP as the main star, this time with a Night of Navy card base.

And for the final card I used the same DSP as featured in the first card but on a larger scale. The inside also has a layer of Magenta Madness behind the Basic White.

These cards are easy to whip up when you need a lot of cards without a lot of work. The DSP does all the work & adding a little co-ordinated cardstock & some bling is the only extra that's needed.

That's it for this week.  I hope you enjoyed this quick & easy way to create beautiful cards.

My next blog is on Sunday & features a very versatile stamp set called Alphabest which has a co-ordinating punch. I can't wait to show you what I've created with them! In next week's Mid Week blog I will show you to create a cute little box that is perfect for Easter, a small treat to cheer someone up or just to let someone know that you're thinking of them. I hope you can join me again for both of those.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Til next time, take care & keep creating. XX Alison
