Using Deckled dies & Cheerful Daisies as card features.

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

This week's creation is designed from a Colour Challenge. It's also been scheduled for publication as I will be participating in another Online Stamping Retreat with the lovely Kylie & Bruno Bertucci as well as Lisa Curcio & Gina Curcio-Hawley. This will be my 5th retreat with them! I love these sessions as they always have wonderful new ideas & crazy funfolds that push my creativity just that little bit further. It is one of the reasons that I have so may wonderful creating ideas to share with you. I will be sure to share some of their tips & designs in future blogs.

Anyway, back to this week's creation...

My project was created thanks to the Global Design Team colour challenge for February 2024. The colours they chose are Lemon Lime Twist, Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie & Crushed Curry. Amazing, rich colours that allow you to create beautiful things.

Here's a pic of some cards I made.

I chose the Cheerful Daisies stamp set as I felt it's perfect for bright colours.
I started with a single piece of thick Basic White & stamped 6 areas using all of the colour challenge colours plus I added in Bubble Bath for the centre of the large daisy. The smaller flowers were created by using full strength for the outside then stamping off to create a lighter tone inside. I used masking so that there is a 3D element of leaves behind flowers.

This was cut in half lengthwise & then various deckled shapes were created for the cards I made plus I still have some pieces that are ready to be made into other cards for my mid week blog on Wednesday.

I used the same colour challenge colours for the card bases & mattes plus added a Basic Black base for a funfold. I also added some DSP from the Bee Mine DSP  as well as the Delightfully Eclectic DSP which just happens to be on the Sale-A-Bration list so you can actually get a pack for free! The sentiments were all stamped in Blackberry Bliss with some heat embossed with clear powder for a little extra pop.
To finish the first 3 cards I used some Adhesive backed Sparkle gems & Purple Shimmer gems. I love the bright colours, they have a really happy, fun feel to them.

So that's it for this card. Now I'd like to share a little bit of information about how to purchase any of Stampin' Up®s beautiful products.

Stampin' Up® has a number of ways to purchase their lovely products. You can look through their physical catalogue or browse through the Annual catalogue online  but there are also some products that are only available exclusively online that don't appear in any catalogues. These products are called the Online Exclusives & are only online. Check out the online exclusives in my online store. As Stampin' Up® have so many beautiful kits available I will be featuring a different kit in each blog so that you can see the range. This week's feature kit is the Best Remedy kit which creates some really cute get well cards. It's a stamping kit so it comes with stamps, an inkspot & a stamp block plus all the usual bits and bobs you'll need to finish the cards.

If you love it too then here is a link to my shop.

This one is a little different as it's not cards but gifts or home decor that you can make.
It's also a great gift for anyone who likes to create but isn't confident or doesn't have a lot of supplies. These are available in my online store or there's a link below if you feel you 'need' this one. 😁

A lot of demonstrators use the special Host Code for their customers but I'm trying it this year as a new idea to see if this is what you, my customers would like to use. If you shop with me then don't forget to use this month's host code FPEXGVDF. This will allow me to pass on any hostess benefits to customers when the sales reach the required qualifying amount.

Lastly, there have been lots of new items added to the clearance rack so make sure you check them out using the link above to my online store.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can order something unique.

If you would like me to send you a copy of the new Annual catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

My next blog is on Wednesday will feature more cards created with the colour challenge pieces that I still have left.

In next week's Sunday blog will have creations made with some more Sale-A-Bration freebies, Flight & Airy DSP. It's such a pretty paper & can be used directly onto card bases or fussy cut. I can't wait to show you what I create with it! I hope you can join me for both of those.

Well, that's it for another week. Make sure you check back in on future posts for info on what I created at the Online Stamping Retreat! I hope you enjoyed this post & come back for more next week. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison.
