Hello & welcome to my blog,
My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about.
Today I am sharing a Triple Box funfold card, one which I shared earlier this year. I don't usually repeat featured projects close together but I love the simplicity of this design that has a great WOW factor & wanted to share it again.
Here is my finished card...
Here are the original measurements for the cardstock & DSP from the first card...
For this card I chose Pebbled Path for the base colour, Basic White for the contrast cardstock colour & the beautiful Nature's Sweetness DSP. To compliment the DSP & decorate the card without using many stamped images, I used some diecut images from the DSP that had been coloured with Stampin' Blend markers. Some of the images are flush with the size of the boxes but some are allowed to hang over the edge to create the illusion that they all belong in the one scene. The image & sentiment I did use are from the Lovely & Sweet and Notes of Nature stamp sets.
I followed the measurements again but excluded the last piece of Basic White which is used in the original for writing a message. On this card I have used Basic White as the contrast cardstock so there is no need for the final Basic White piece. Instead I used an image to decorate it but left plenty of room for a message.
The finished size of the card is bigger than a regular envelope size so when I create these I pop them straight into the gift bag with the gift. If you need to post a card of this size I would suggest creating your own envelope but postage may be more than a standard letter.
Now I'll share a pic of the original Triple Box card I made in my
February 2nd 2025 post...
I love both of these 2 versions but I love the difference of using different DSP & Basic White rather than a 2nd cardstock colour plus the colours of the images really pop against the darker background.
So that's it for this post. I had a lot of fun recreating this funfold. Funfolds are a great way to add some WOW to your projects.
My next blog is on Sunday & I will be featuring the beautiful Textured Notes DSP.
Next week's mid week blog features more creativity using the Colour Wheel.
I hope you can join me for both of them.
Til next time, take care & keep creating.
