So versatile, Sweet strawberries

Hello, welcome if you're visiting for the first time & thanks for visiting my blog if you're returning,

This week I've had a bumper time in the craft room. I joined a One Sheet Wonder online session organised by the very talented Nancy Stollnitz Hoetker to help us through another lockdown in Melbourne. I used up some of my leftover Berry Delightful DSP to make some gorgeous cards for my shop & also utilised some in the cards I have for you this week.

I used some of the DSP as a background for the 2 cards, one using Pear Pizzazz & Real Red matts, the other using Basic white to make the DSP really stand out. The little box was made using a mini pizza box with some Real Red & Daffodil Delight, a strawberry to match cut out with the Strawberry builder punch & some cute little flowers coloured using the new Pale Papaya ink & markers. Such a cute little set.

This next card is a design that I don't make very often but produces a stunning result. It's a waterfall card which flips each picture as you pull on the ribbon.

I started off by stamping the leaves in Soft Succulent onto some Basic white card stock before colouring them in with Mint Macaron, Pale Papaya & Dark Pineapple Stampin' Up markers. It's great that old colours can still work beautifully with the new colours.

I used some Just Jade for the contrast colour & stamped & coloured 4 small panels in Basic White before attaching them to the Just Jade strip.

The mechanism is scored at 1.5cm intervals so that when you pull the tab it flips each picture until you get to the message! I used a design by Lisa Curcio from lisasstampstudio
as inspiration. For the ribbon I chose a piece of the new Pale Papaya woven ribbon which is such a soft, pretty colour & matches the little strawberry flowers.
I really enjoyed making the waterfall card & will be using it in a future card class I'm attending with some friends. It was good practice & I'll be making another one with a slightly different orientation & mechanism to go with this design.

For next weeks blog I'm excited to be using a brand new stamp set & matching die from the new catalogue. They are the Wild cats stamp set & Big cats dies & the pic I've seen of it being used so far are just adorable. Really looking forward to sharing them with you next week.

That's all I have for you this week. If you would like to order anything that I used in this week's projects then please head to my shop at https://alisonculliver.stampinup.net or visit my shop on Facebook at Crafted by Alison.
Hope you stay safe & well, thanks again for stopping by. Bye for now, Alison XX
