Be Jolly with Holly Jolly!

 Hello & welcome to this weeks blog,

It's great to have you visit. I have a super collection of creations for you that I made using 2 stamp sets  from the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue - Be Jolly & Holly Jolly wishes. I started with some relaxing colouring then used a couple of the images for 2 cards. I still have lots left to make into cards though!



The collection of items I made could have gone on and on as there are so many different combinations you can make with the 2 stamp sets but I limited myself to a few cards, a gift card holder & a bottle tag.


To start with I made 2 cards using traditional greens, red & white but I wanted to give it a slight Aussie twist so I used the Forever Ferns stamp set as it has some lovely gum leaves/nuts in it. I also added a small strip of Forever Greenery DSP to add some ferns. I embossed the white cardstock matt with the Wintry 3D embossing folder & die cut the sentiments using the Stitched So Sweetly & (retired) Beautiful Boughs dies. All I needed to add were a couple of Champagne Rhinestones & the cards were complete.


The next two cards I made were more for the kids in us all as I chose one of the Santa stamps & a Christmas tree. 


Santa didn't need much colouring but I did add a little Balmy Blue 'puddle' under him using a stamp from the retired Beautiful You stamp set. I chose the Decorative Label punch for the sentiment then added a couple of Champagne Rhinestones to finish it off. Very simple but cute.

 

For the final card I wanted to add another type of gift card holder to my store so chose a fold down version this time. I started with a Real Red card base, scored across the top of the card front then measured out a piece of Peaceful Prints DSP from the recent Sale-A-Bration to go under the image matting. I mounted the coloured Christmas tree onto some Evening Evergreen cardstock then stuck the flap down & adhered the image over that. I only adhered the edges so that the gift card could be slotted in behind it as you can see in the second photo.The sentiment I punched with the Decorative Label punch & adhered that to a strip of Evening Evergreen which I trimmed using the Lovely Labels pick a punch. I used a rose gold Designer Elements star I had left over for the top of the tree which went nicely with the Champagne Rhinestones on the sentiment. I used the same DSP inside the card for detailing.

My last creation is a bottle tag. Some gifts just have to be a bottle & not everyone likes using bags so a bottle tag is a lovely alternative.


I made this tag larger than the previous tag I'd made to show off the lovely green of the Peaceful Prints DSP. I simply cut a strip of Basic White Cardstock, scored twice & die cut a circle for the neck of the bottle, trimmed all the corners & did the same with the DSP. The trees were stamped onto some more DSP using the Coming Home stamps then die cut with the Home Together dies & raised on dimensionals. To add a little colour I added some Wonderful gems in red. Very easy but a lovely way to dress up a bottle.
