Plentiful Plants to calm the soul.

Hello & welcome to my blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by. If this is your first visit, welcome. If you're returning, thank you for continuing to follow my creating journey.  This week I have a lovely set of cards for you that I made with the Plentiful Plants stamp set, Perfect Plants dies & Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. Hope you enjoy them!

I started out with a simple layout, embossing some DSP with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder then gently blending some Sahara Sand across it to give a little more colour. I stamped a timber design from the On the Horizon stamp set on some Grey Granite scraps, cutting strips with the corners edged for the shelving. I stamped the plants in Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz & Evening Evergreen & used the Perfect Plants dies to cut them out. I  diecut some pots from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP & glued the plants onto them. I adhered the bottom of the pots onto the back of the shelving & added some dimensionals before placing them on the 'wall'. The sentiment is from the upcoming Limited Edition stamp set, stamped in Evening Evergreen & I used the Stocking dies for the gift tag. I don't use greys very often but I do like how soft this card turned out.

For my second card I wanted a really simple, quick card with an easy layout. I used some Evening Evergreen for a matte & a lovely piece of DSP as my second matte. Before I glued this down I added 2 pieces of ribbon - Evening Evergreen Windowpane check ribbon & the Embroidered ribbon. I stamped the pot & sentiment in Grey Granite & the cactus in Evening Evergreen. The ovals are from the Stitched Shapes dies & I also used one of the squares from that set to angle the sentiment.

My final card took a bit longer to create but I was feeling pretty calm afterwards as creating does help me zone out & relax. The base is Cinnamon Cider with a slightly smaller Basic White card base scored twice & adhered under some DSP. I stamped & diecut most of the plants & pots but some of the pots were fussy cut from the DSP. To give the hanging plant a bit of reality I used a burnished brad which was stuck through the cardstock prior to glueing it down. For the large plant in the foreground I used a combination of Garden Green & Old Olive, adding some Garden Green to the Old Olive with a Sponge Dauber.

The sentiments are from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. I used the same Grey Granite 'shelving' for one of them. The shelf inside the fold is a little scrap of DSP.

So that's the last of my creations for you this week. I hope you've enjoyed looking at the versatility of the gorgeous Plentiful Plants stamp set, Perfect Plants dies & Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. Just a reminder that the DSP will not be available after the end of April due to the new Annual Catalogue. The stamps & dies will still be available but not as a bundle. So if you want to save 10% on them then you need to shop before May 3rd when the new catalogue is launched. I've included some links to my online shop if you'd like to purchase any of the products I used today.

If you would like a catalogue to see all of the beautiful products that are coming out then please contact me & I'll pop one in the mail.
If you'd like to purchase any of the cards I feature in my blogs then please message me on my facebook page CraftedbyAlison to check on the availability or to order your own designs.
My Mid Week blog on Wednesday will feature a card CASED from the current catalogue & my regular blog next week will showcase the stunning Crane of Fortune stamp from the January to June '22 mini catalogue. Absolutely gorgeous DSP co-ordinates with the stamp set so I hope you can come back to see what I create.
Happy Easter to everyone. I hope you all have a lovely break & can spend some time with loved ones. Thanks so much for stopping by. Til next time, take care & keep creating. XX Alison
