Hello & welcome to my Mid Week blog,
Thanks so much for stopping by. My Mid Week blog is designed to be shorter than my Sunday blogs so that I can share techniques, card design or other tips and tricks with you. I feature projects that can be created for beginners & can also be stepped up for a fancier or more detailed item. I hope you enjoy this weeks focus which is all about colour! There are a few different blogs & posts that I follow to help with ideas & inspirations. Some feature challenges & this challenge is using Pale Papaya, Bermuda Bay & Highland Heather. The combination came from Stamp With Nellie's #25 challenge from February this year. I chose this combination to work with as I need to make some gender neutral baby cards & these colours seemed just perfect.
Here's what I came up with....
On a Basic White card base I added a piece of Hydrangea Hill DSP. The stamp set is All for Baby. The washing line is stamped directly onto the DSP but the 'washing' was stamped on Basic White in Bermuda Bay & Highland Heather before being die cut with the Baby Clothes dies. The pegs are Pale Papaya as is the stamped sentiment. I used a piece of Pale Papaya & one of the Tasteful Labels dies for the sentiment backing. For something a little different I cut a slit at each end of the banner then slid the sentiment through & mounted with dimensionals. I love how it worked out!
That's it for another Mid Week Blog. I hope this inspires you to check out some of the amazing challenges that are available. If you do create some goodies I'd love you to post them on my FaceBook page at Crafted by Alison.
My next blog is on Sunday, showcasing the fabulous 'Give it a Whirl' dies and next week's Mid Week blog will show you what I created using the Kerchief card kit. I hope you can join me for both of those.
Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
