Wandering through Eden's Garden

Hello & welcome to my blog,

I so glad you could visit my blog & I hope you find something to inspire you from my creations this week. My focus stamp set is the very pretty Eden's Garden. I have tried to give you a variety of different ways to use this stamp set so that you can see the versatility of it. I've made 3 cards & more details are with each card but here's the three of them together first.....

Two of these cards use the new 2022-23 In Colours which will be available for you to order from tomorrow! I'll show you those first.

My first card features two new In Colours, Parakeet party & Sweet Sorbet. I wasn't able to order any of the Sweet Sorbet cardstock with my pre-order (damn those COVID shipping impacts!) but when I was stamping I noticed that the colour goes nicely with Real Red. Soooo, I swapped out the Sweet Sorbet as a card base & used Real Red. 😁 For the front of the card I stamped one of the smaller images in Parakeet Party & Sweet Sorbet along one side of the card. Before attaching it to the base I ran some Real Red sheer ribbon around the bottom & attached a bow. I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White & mounted it on some Parakeet Party. The edges were made using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. A couple of dimensionals & the card is finished.

For the second card I used 2 more of the In Colours - Starry Sky & Orchid Oasis. I'm so happy that Stampin' Up® added 3 more blue hues to the collection! Anyway, back to the card.... I started with a Starry Sky base, adding Basic White for the inside & top layer. The floral image is stamped in Orchid Oasis with some Starry Sky sprigs added. The banner is a strip of New Horizons DSP with a little bit of Starry Sky blended over it. I stamped the sentiment in Starry Sky & die cut it using the retired Stitched Nested Labels dies & added a couple of dimensionals to it. To finish the card I added a bow using Night of Navy ribbon. The blue featured in the New Horizons DSP is actually Misty Moonlight but Stampin' Up's colours work really well together so the Night of Navy & Misty Moonlight look great.

The third card goes way across the spectrum of colours by using Neutrals rather than brighter shades. The card base & band Soft Suede & the sentiment backing is Crumb Cake. I stamped the image from bottom left to top right using Crumb Cake & the sentiment is Soft Suede. I had a piece of embossed Soft Suede in my stash & decided that it would be perfect as a pop of difference. The greeting is punched using the Double Oval punch & the retired Decorative Label punch. I didn't think there was any need for embellishments as the band was enough.

I've added an extra card to this blog as it was featured in my Mid Week blog on Wednesday & used the same stamp set. It's more elaborate than the first three cards as I was demonstrating how to create a Double Fold with Belly Band card.

When Eden's Garden was released last year it also had DSP that co-ordinated with it. More details of making this card are in my 27/4/22 Mid Week blog. I chose to use the DSP & matching ink colours to create this beautiful card as it feels very soft & calming. Having said that, I feel that the focus cards this week show you just how versatile Eden's Garden is & how gorgeous it looks in any colour way.

I hope you enjoyed exploring Eden's Garden with me. I really enjoyed creating these cards. My Mid Week blog this week will show you some cards made with colours from a colour challenge. Next week's blog is all about a wonderful new die called Give it a Whirl which allows you to create an interactive card. I'm so excited to finally get to create with them!
I will have some links below if you would like to purchase any of the products I used in today's cards or just have a browse in my online shop. Please remember that the new In Colours are available from 2/5 so I can't provide a link for them this week. You can find them in my Online store from that date though.

If you would like me to send you a catalogue please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison.
If you would like to purchase or order any of the cards I create you can also check out their availability on my FaceBook page.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Til next time, take care & keep creating. XX Alison
