Hello Ladybug floral cards

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. Last night I attended an online crafting event hosted by Stampin' Up® for demonstrators across the globe. It featured a new stamp set & dies that is about to be released in the new July - Deember '22 mini catalogue. I had so much fun creating with this set & I'm sure it will be very popular. At the end of this blog I'll share a couple of sneaky pics of the projects we made but for full details you'll have to wait for a future blog! Today's blog features a stamp set I have already shown you, Hello Ladybug, but this time I'm focussing on the flowers instead of the Ladybugs.

Even though it's the middle of a wintry cold snap here in Melbourne, these cards have lifted my spirits, bringing a Spring time feel to my craft room.

So, for the first card I decided to use some really bright, happy colours along with texture. I stamped some flowers in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White card & the larger daisies in Whisper White on Sweet Sorbet & fussy cut them all. I then took a piece of Granny Apple Green & embossed 2/3's of it with the Wintry embossing folder. I added a strip of the Sweet Sorbet 2022 - 24 In Colour DSP to the plain side of this. On a Layering Circles white disc I added the Sweet Sorbet flowers, reversing one of them to add depth of colour. The 'Hello' & 'My Friend' were stamped in Granny Apple Green & cut out. 'My Friend' was shaped into a tag with a small bow included from the Parakeet Party twine & partially raised with dimensionals. I love the colour combination of this card.

For the next card I decided to highlight the gorgeous new Tahitian Tide In Colour by making the card monochromatic. The matte uses some of the new In Colour DSP & was die cut with the Scalloped Contours dies. The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The flowers are stamped directly onto the sentiment layer plus I fussy cut a few extra ones  raised the on dimensionals for a little extra detail. The gems are from the 2021 - 23 In Colour jewels. This card is going to a co-worker who has had a few extremely busy & stressful months to thank her for hanging in there. The sentiment inside from the Special Moments stamp set sums it up perfectly.

And so for the final card.  I am in love with the gorgeous blues in the latest In Colours so I had to use Starry Sky for this card base. I stamped a jar from the Bottled Happiness stamp set in So Saffron & used the masking technique to add stems in Garden Green from Art Gallery to the jar. The blooms are stamped in Orchid Oasis & Starry Sky & fussy cut. I chose to mix up the blooms before adding them to the stems. One of them is raised on dimensionals for some depth. The sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky also. I attached a cute Starry Sky metallic woven ribbon bow to the next of the jar & a couple of the 2021 - 23 jewels to finish it off.

Though there are only 2 floral stamps in the Hello Ladybug stamp set, these cards show that there are so many different ways to use them to create beautiful cards. I would love to see any creations you might have made using this stamp set so please feel free to pop over to my FaceBook page, craftedbyalison, & post a pic.

That's it for this week. Thanks for popping in. My next Mid Week blog on Wednesday features a new fold I came across called a Birdhouse fold. Something a little different that I want to try so I hope you can come back for that. Next week's regular blog is special as it features a flower I associate with my childhood home - Hydrangea's. The Hydrangea Haven stamp set, matching dies & DSP make truly beautiful creations & I haven't used them for a little while so I'm really looking forward to playing with them again.

Now without further ado, here are some sneak peaks of the cards I mentioned at the beginning of this blog............

There are some amazing colours in this collection & the foils of the DSP are gorgeous! Keep an eye out for future blogs as I will be showcasing these cards in full very soon.
