Floral creations with Blessings of Home

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create some beautiful cards using the Blessings of Home stamp set.

I've created 2 very different cards for you this week. One uses blending & layered stamping, the other uses heat embossing on metallic cardstock with fussy cutting.

I diecut a piece of white cardstock using the Deckled Rectangles dies & blended Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky & Garden Green. Over that I stamped the large bouquet from Blessings of Home in Memento after placing it on another piece of Basic White. The plain white piece was adhered to a Kraft card base & the blended piece was layered over that with dimensionals. A sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Memento black on Kraft card & layered it over the blended piece. The bling is from the July to December Mini catalogue, Adhesive backed sequins & gems.

For the second card I wanted to try heat embossing on metallic cardstock. I chose Bronze from the Brushed Metallic cardstock pack.  Pear Pizzazz is the base with a strip of black in the landscape position. The Versamark didn't quite catch in a small section at the centre of the image but it is covered with the sentiment so doesn't show. Not sure if it's the surface or just dodgy stamping! 😂 I used Go To Greetings for the sentiment on Pear Pizzazz & fussy cut around it. The final step was adding some Bronze Brushed Metallic dots. I really like the use of only 3 colours & how it turned out. I hope you like it too.

That's it for another week. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you can join me again on Wednesday for my Mid Week blog. This week I have chosen some a funfold that can be used for Christmas, birthdays or any special occasion. In next Sunday's blog I will be stamping on Vellum with another floral stamp. I hope you can join me for both of those.
