Mid Week blog #52! Celebrating one year of Mid Week blogs with a Splendid Thoughts gift box & notelets.

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. Today's blog celebrates 1 year of Mid Week blogs with a cute set of notelets & matching gift box. I hope you love what I've created as much as I loved creating them.

I saw something similar on FaceBook & wanted something a little bit more special for my 1 year anniversary blog & thought this little gift set was perfect.

There are 3 different notelet designs & a box to pop them into.  I used the stunning Splendid Thoughts stamp set, Splendid Stems dies & Splendid Day DSP. The box is one of the Scalloped Craft Treat boxes from the Annual Catalogue & goes perfectly with the metallic DSP.

The notelets are 7cm x 14cm, scored in half then decorated. I used Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia & Smoky Slate inks, blending the background of the stamped notelet & stamping the foilage outline stamp with Fresh Freesia.  I die cut outlines, pots, stamped images & frames with Splendid Stems & Stylish Shapes dies. The Rose Gold & White ferny cutouts were fussy cut from a sheet from the DSP.

The notelets easily fit into the 7.6 x 7.6cm (3 x 3in) envelopes. Though I don't have a picture of them, the envelopes have DSP on the flap to finish off & tie in all aspects of the gift set.

The box is 6.4cm (2 1/2in) high so you could easily fit more than the six I have placed in them or you could pop a small gift in with them.

This was a quick & easy project to create that has a WOW factor thanks to the pretty colours & DSP.

Thanks for stopping by & if you've been following me from the beginning or just recently, thank you for coming back for more! My next blog is on Sunday & features a Christmas card using the Artistically Inked stamp set. Next week's Mid Week blog is a fancy fold with a difference. I hope you can join me for both of those.
Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
