Pretty Frames & flowers with Framed Florets

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create some beautiful cards using the brand new, limited time Framed Florets & Framed Florets dies. It is such a pretty stamp set & the dies are so versatile, I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do. Here are the cards I made using them.

These are 2 simple cards that use different stamps from the set & different techniques to create them.

For the first card I stamped directly onto the front of the card using Basic Gray ink then inked up some sponge daubers with Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green & Bumblebee & dabbed the ink on around the image. This gives the image a soft watercolour effect. I added a strip of DSP from Celebrate Everything then stamped a greeting in Highland Heather & added some Adhesive Backed Sequins & Gems & that was the front finished. To continue the theme on the inside I used a matte of DSP & stamped & daubed a small image in the top corner as well as on a matching envelope. I love how simple it was to create a pretty card for all sorts of occasions.

The second card uses just 2 colours - Pacific Point & Basic White. The front of the card has a beautiful diecut ring of hearts made using a die from the Framed Florets dies. I reserved a few of the hearts to use inside the card. After placing the diecut onto the front of the card I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the oval, using only 1 part of the sentiment & then placed the floral image above it. I stamped the second part of the sentiment centrally & some leaves in opposite corners as well as on a co-ordinating envelope. This was backed with some retired Berry Delightful DSP as the colours perfectly compliment the card. This is where I used a couple of the reserved hearts also. To finish off the front of the card I added just a couple of the delicate Heart Pearls & that was the card finished.

While I was creating these cards I also got started on the fancy fold card that will be featured in my Mid Week blog on Wednesday. Here's a sneak peak of how it's coming along.....

I hope that you've enjoyed this week's blog & will join me again on Wednesday to see the finished fun fold card. In next week's blog I will be combining 2 stamps sets, Nothing's better than... & Candy Canes to make some different Christmas themed creations. I hope you can join me for both of them.

That's it for another week. Thanks so much for stopping by. If you would like to order any of the supplies I used today you can head over to my Stampin' Up® shop using the links below. Please note that there are some supplies I used this week that are not available any more as they are retired stock. That doesn't mean you can't recreate your own version of these cards though! Just swap out the retired items for whatever you have in your stash.

If you would like to purchase any of the cards I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison.

If you would like me to send you a catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.
