Mid Week blog #67 - Colour Challenge

 Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. 

I blog twice a week. On a Sunday I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about. Today I have a beautiful card with colours from Colour INKspiration challenge #135. 

These are Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay. This is such a gorgeous combination & I'm so happy with how the card turned out. I hope you love it too.



Isn't this colour combo gorgeous! I love how bright & cheerful these colours are together.
 
I started with a Bermuda Bay card base. The Basic White matte was run through the embossing machine using the Seashells embossing folder. 

I stamped some of the shells & greenery from the Friends are like Seashells stamp set on scrap Basic White using Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay. 

The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay then diecut using one of the Beautiful Boughs frames. 

The shells were all fussy cut & the greener was. diecut with the Seaside Seashells dies.
 
I placed the shells over the matching embossed images & added the greenery behind the sentiment & the large shell. 

The sentiment was raised on dimensionals & then I added some Faux Sea Glass shapes. 

The final step was to add a Basic White matte to the inside with a shell stamped on it.

I had such a lot of creating this card & look forward to playing around some more with the stamps & dies. New creations with He's All That

Calendars & Christmas cards

 Welcome back everyone, I hope you've all had a lovely week. Melbourne is slowly getting back to 'normal' with families reconnecting, friends catching up and socialising back on track. Just in time too, with Christmas only 32 days away!! I hope you've been able to get started on your present shopping or maybe even finished? I've managed to cross a few more presents off my list thanks to the wonders of on-line shopping. I've also been making some more Christmas cards to add to my selling collection & had a lovely play with designs of mini calendars for an order from a colleague. Here's some pics of the calendars that I've made..... I'm very happy with how pretty the calendars turned out & hope my friend loves them too.  Now for some of the Christmas cards. 3D creations - gift boxes

I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP.  This week I have a 3D creation for you. Gift bags are wonderful for enclosing presents but sometimes you need a box to hold your items. This week I show you how to create 2 different sized boxes using the same method but different measurements. Both are very easy to make & once you start creating them you will find that a measurement tweak is all you need to make lots of different sized boxes to suit your needs.  This box will hold 4 or 5 cards depending on the size of the card. Tic Tac Toe challenge #174

Hello & welcome to my blog, My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. Today's blog is all about making a card using a Tic Tac Toe themed challenge. Using the grid below I looked back over my creations & found a very special card I had made for a workmate to give to his niece. I would normally make a new card but this week has been rather challenging with my Mum being hospitalised. We weren't sure whether she'd make it but with lots of fluids & exceptional care from the staff at her nursing home she looks to be on the mend.
