Hello & welcome to my blog,
My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about.
Today I have CASE'd a card from the brand new Annual Catalogue which went live yesterday! There are so many lovely things to see in the catalogue so here's a link to have a look for yourself.
So, onto the card.
The card I CASE'd features on page 14 & I followed most of the original card but changed a couple of little details to achieve a really pretty & vibrant celebration card which could be used for a birthday, engagement or any other celebration.
The card base is the returning colour, Pretty Peacock. The matte is a new colour, Lemon Lolly which has a piece of Bright & Beautiful DSP behind it. The streamers are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist. The next step was to run the matte through the embossing machine using a die from the Beautiful Balloon dies. A different strip of DSP was added behind this to achieve the effect of the stars & streamers being inside the balloons. The matte was then adhered to the base. The stars were diecut from DSP & mounted with dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in another new colour, Azure Afternoon. The ends were trimmed with the Banners Pick a Punch & a small strip of Berry Burst added behind. The final step was to add some 2023-25 In Colour dots.
Here's a close up of some of the details of the card.

There are some other cards that I wanted to CASE but I thought I'd leave them for future posts. I can see loads of beautiful creations happening with this set! I also decided to show the card mentioned in last week's mid week blog in a blog based around the Beautiful Balloons stamps & dies instead of tonights blog. There will be more info about that blog at a later date.
That's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed this peak at some of the beautiful items that are available in the new catalogue. I'm looking forward to sharing more with you.
My next blog on Sunday features some creations made with one of the many kits available from Stampin' Up®. The kit I chose is called Saying Thanks. In next week's Mid Week blog I will be creating with colours from a colour challenge. I hope you can join me again for both of those.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Til next time, take care & keep creating. XX Alison
