Mid Week Blog#83 - 2023-25 In Colours

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies & sometimes special DSP. My second blog is mid week on a Wednesday where I look at techniques, colour challenges, card sketches, fun folds, tools & equipment & ways to make or improve your projects. That's what this blog is about.

Stampin' Up® launched their new Annual Catalogue on the 5th May and with they had a colour refresh as well as the new In Colours. Today I will be sharing the new In Colours with you with a few cards I created using them along with some new stamps & dies. I hope you like them.
Here are 3 cards I made with the new In Colours....

...and here is the official flyer from Stampin' Up® with the new In Colours...

...which are from left to right, Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Copper Clay & Pebbled Path.

The first card uses all 5 colours along with the Zany Zoo stamp set & dies for the raccoon & balloons with a faux sky stamped off in Boho Blue using Artistically Inked. The raccoon is raised on dimensionals & mounted on a Boho Blue oval that I diecut with the Framed Florets dies. I finished it with some 2023-25 In Colour dots.

For the second card I used Pebble Path for the flower stem, sentiment & side image. The bloom & backing mount is Moody Mauve. Stamps used are Artistically Inked & Occasionally Funny & the die for the mattes is Deckled Rectangles. I again used the 2023-35 In Colour dots.

For the final card I decided to use just blues to highlight how well the blues co-ordinate. The matte is Boho Blue, embossed with one of the Basics 3D folders. I then used the large THANKS stamp & starting at the top left used Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Blueberry Bushel & Azure Afternoon. The focus colour of Boho Blue is stamped on the side. The gems are a few leftover Holiday Rhinestones.

So that's it for this post! I hope you enjoyed seeing the new In Colours. They are more muted & subtle than last years In Colours but I can see them fitting in nicely with all of the other colours.
My next blog is on Sunday & features more of the Zany Zoo stamps & dies which is part of the Zoo Crew suite. Next week's Mid Week blog is a fun fold. I hope you can join me for both of them.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
