Hello, welcome to my blog,
My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. If this is your first time here, thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you. If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍
I have a very special stamp & die bundle to share with you this week. It's from the new Annual Catalogue & is called Carousel Horses. I love it! I hope you do to.
I went for lots of pretty pastel colours when creating these pretty cards. They could be used for a baby card or baby shower, first birthday, young girl birthday or for someone who loves the carousel. The colours could also be changed to make it more suitable for a boy's birthday but I just loved playing around with the pastels. So here's a quick description of how they were made.
For the first card I chose Fresh Freesia for the base & added 2 mattes using Delightfully Eclectic DSP & Vellum from the Layering Designs pack. I diecut the carousel using more of the Delightfully Eclectic DSP, filling in the holes with Lemon Lime Twist. The base of the carousel is Crumb Cake. The horses are stamped in Smokey Slate & coloured with Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist & Crumb Cake Stampin' Write markers then diecut.
This closeup shows you some more of the embossed details of the base of the carousel.
The sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate then diecut. I raised the carousel up with dimensionals for a 3D effect.
The second card uses lots of pretty Dandy Designs DSP prints diecut with the scalloped edge die then layered over each other.
The pony is stamped in Pebbled Path & the colouring is created with stamps from the set using Pale Papaya, Coastal Cabana & Fresh Freesia. I also used Pale Papaya cardstock for the top & base of the carousel pole with the stand & pole diecut with some of the last of my Mother of Pearl specialty paper, just to add a little sparkle.
The sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana & Fresh Freesia then diecut with a label die from the Sending dies set. The carousel was raised slightly with some glue dots & the horse was raised with some dimensionals. A Crinkled seam binding ribbon bow was attached with a rolled up glue dot in the centre to finish it all off.
As with all of my creations I decorated the inside of the card & the envelope to match.

In previous blogs I posted the pics of some of the cards that were created during the Online Stamping Retreat I attended in April. Due to more time assisting Mum & my sister with their affairs I haven't had much time to create any more cards from the retreat. I will share another one shortly once I get some more time to create.
My next blog is on Wednesday where I will feature a Tic Tac Toe challenge. These are always fun to create with. In next week's Sunday blog I will share some lovely cards created using the lovely Little Monkey stamp set. I hope you can join me for both of those.
Well, that's it for another week. I hope you enjoyed this post & come back for more next week. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison.
