Showing the versatility of the lovely Layering Leaves stamp set

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

This week was a very busy week. I had a few commissions to work on including creating Thank You cards for my daughter to send after her engagement party. We all had a wonderful time celebrating with them & now look forward to organising their wedding.

So, apart from all of that I was able to have a play with the lovely Layering Leaves stamp set which has a co-ordinating Boughs punch. One of my challenges for myself this year is to use up some of my DSP as well as incorporating different stamp sets, dies & embossing folders. Here are two cards I created with a combination of supplies.

To create these I combined the Layering Leaves stamp set, Boughs punch, Earthen Textures stamp set & dies, Twigs & Sprigs embossing folder, Twisted Rope embossing folder, All That dies & Stylish Shapes dies.

The first card uses Early Espresso & Very Vanilla cardstock for the card base. The leaves & blossoms are stamped in Old Olive & Crumb Cake while the vases are stamped in Pecan Pie on Very Vanilla & Pecan Pie. The sentiment is heat embossed in Copper. I added some Polka Dot trim that's available as an Online Exclusive. Quite a simple card but elegant.

As the Granny Apple Green matte which I embossed with the Twigs & Sprigs embossing folder is quite detailed I decided to use a simple feature for the sentiment. I stamped it in Starry Sky, diecut it using the All That dies & backed it with a Starry Sky square made using the Stylish Shapes dies. This was mounted on dimensionals. The final touches were a Starry Sky metallic woven ribbon & some 2022-24 In Colour pearls.

Two very different cards made with the same stamp set. That's one of the things I love about the Stampin' Up products, you can mix & match but each of the colours across the range matches from the papers, ribbons, embellishments & DSP's.

So that's it for this cards. Now I'd like to share a little bit of information about how to purchase any of Stampin' Up®s beautiful products.

Stampin' Up® has a number of ways to purchase their lovely products. You can look through their physical catalogue or browse through the Annual catalogue online  but there are also some products that are only available exclusively online that don't appear in any catalogues. These products are called the Online Exclusives & are only online. Check out the online exclusives in my online store. This week I have a kit called Timeless Greetings. It's a kit that includes a stamp set, ink spots & everything you need to make 8 gorgeous cards that are great for guys or any of the girls in your life that don't like hearts & flowers.

If you love it too then here is a link to my shop.

This one is a little different as it's not cards but gifts or home decor that you can make.
It's also a great gift for anyone who likes to create but isn't confident or doesn't have a lot of supplies. These are available in my online store or there's a link below if you feel you 'need' this one. 😁

A lot of demonstrators use the special Host Code for their customers but I'm trying it this year as a new idea to see if this is what you, my customers would like to use. If you shop with me then don't forget to use this month's host code FPEXGVDF. This will allow me to pass on any hostess benefits to customers when the sales reach the required qualifying amount.

Lastly, there have been lots of new items added to the clearance rack so make sure you check them out using the link above to my online store.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can order something unique.

If you would like me to send you a copy of the new Annual catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

My next blog is on Wednesday & I will share with you some of the creations I made during the Online Stamping Retreat I attended earlier this month.

I realised that I had originally intended to use the Cheerful Daisies bundle & Fresh as a Daisy DSP this week but I must have had a bit of a brain fade with all of the other things that have been going on as for some reason I ended up creating with Layering Leaves instead. So, in next week's Sunday blog it's Daisies, Daisies, Daisies with the Fresh as a Daisy collection. I can't wait to show you what I create with it! I hope you can join me for both of those.

Well, that's it for another week. I hope you enjoyed this post & come back for more next week. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison.
