Cheer Up, we've got Cheerful Daisies!

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

I made 3 cards this week but there are so many more possibilities that I think I'm going to have to have some more posts.

When I started to create these cards I fully intended to use the beautiful daisy stamps in the stamp set but while I was making a card for a work colleague I came across a whole sheet of DSP that just begged to be cut up & used directly onto cards. So that's what I did.

My first card is probably one of the simplest cards I've ever made. I used a pretty Bubble Bath background floral image & backed it with Garden Green. This was added to a square Basic White card base. The sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies set, stamped in Garden Green & diecut with the smallest Deckled Rectangles dies. After adding it to the card I then made a small bow with some string & that was it!!

My second card is another very easy card. I wasn't sure about the colour of this piece of DSP but once it was backed with some Early Espresso it completely changed the colour. I ran a piece of Natural Polka Dot trim from the Online Exclusives across the front of the card then heat embossed the sentiment in Copper & diecut it using the All That dies. After mounting it with some dimensionals it was done. Simple! I then decided to gussy up the inside a little with an Early Espresso matte with a Basic White writing space stamped with a sentiment. The daisy detail was stamped & heat embossed with clear powder. The centre of the flower was stamped in Early Espresso & then versamark with some Copper powder. I then blended some Wild Wheat behind it which really made the clear daisy pop with the colour of the white behind it.

The final card came together as soon as I saw the gold print on the DSP. I started with a Pretty Peacock cardbase, scored to create a Z fold. On the small front panel & around the edge of the inside panel I stamped some leaves from the retired Tranquil Thoughts stamp set & heat embossed in Gold. The DSP was backed with some Brushed Metallic cardstock in gold & I added a piece of Basic White, backed with the same gold & stamped with a couple of leaves in Pretty Peacock to the inside. This piece is hidden when the card is closed. I love the elegance of this card & was at a loss when choosing a sentiment so I decided to leave it without a sentiment & have it in my stash, waiting for the right occasion.

As I said earlier, there's so much more that I didn't get to show you from this suite so I will definitely have another play with these products.

So that's it for this cards. Now I'd like to share a little bit of information about how to purchase any of Stampin' Up®s beautiful products.

If you love it too then here is a link to my shop.

This one is a little different as it's not cards but gifts or home decor that you can make.
It's also a great gift for anyone who likes to create but isn't confident or doesn't have a lot of supplies. These are available in my online store or there's a link below if you feel you 'need' this one. 😁

A lot of demonstrators use the special Host Code for their customers but I'm trying it this year as a new idea to see if this is what you, my customers would like to use. If you shop with me then don't forget to use this month's host code 9QJ2SZEE. This will allow me to pass on any hostess benefits to customers when the sales reach the required qualifying amount.

Lastly, there have been lots of new items added to the clearance rack so make sure you check them out using the link above to my online store.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can order something unique.

If you would like me to send you a copy of the new Annual catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

My next blog is on Wednesday & I will share with you a tehnique for creating faux silk. It's really stunning but very simple.

If you're a coffee lover then next week's blog is right up your alley. The blog features a suite called A Little Latte & there is so much you can do with this suite. There is stunning DSP, stamps & dies, embellishments, you name it. I can't wait to show you what I create with it! I hope you can join me for both of those.

Well, that's it for another week. I hope you enjoyed this post & come back for more next week. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison.
