Scrapbooking with Everyday You & Me.

Hello & welcome.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.

For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

Stampin' Up® 's Annual Catalogue was released last year with a very different format & it's a beauty! It's set out quite differently to previous catalogues but there are benefits to that. They now have sectioned it to have beginners, which is a step by step collection of materials in kits, then there is quick & easy where you select base materials & packs of pre-printed or diecut materials plus some stamp sets then there is create your way where you choose all the materials, stamps etc yourself & create your way! In the quick & easy section Stampin' Up® have also provided some inspiration with a colour wheel & information of various ways to use colour combinations. I explored this in a bit more detail in my 1/1/25 mid week blog. The new mini catalogue was launched on January 7th with lots of lovely stamps, dies & papers to ooh & aah over. If you would like a copy of this new catalogue then please contact me at craftedbyalison@gmail.com. Stampin' Up® also have products available only online. These are called Online exclusives & have no end date, when the stock is sold out, that's the end of it.

This week I am sharing some scrapbooking pages made with the Everyday You & Me stamps & dies as well as the Everyday Happiness DSP & Sticker sheet. I've just recently got back into creating scrapbook pages as Stampin' Up® took over some of the products from Close To My Heart when the company closed last year. Stampin' Up® now have a growing range of products designed for scrapbooking to help the Close To My Heart creators that moved across to Stampin' Up® last year & the benefits of that combination is that there are loads of products to help scrapbookers & card makers alike. I have posted some previous pages I created with the Gnomes for Summer Scrapbooking kit in my 1/12/24 post & my 8/12/24 post

Today I share a double page spread made without the kit instructions (scary step creating from scratch!) & I love how they turned out. I hope you do too. Here they are...

To create these 2 pages I started with the Everyday Happiness DSP & Sticker sheet with a little bit of stamping from the Everyday You & Me stamp set.

The DSP has a list of co-ordinating cardstock colours listed on the back so I went through & collected them all to see which ones went well with the stickers to help me decide which ones I would use.

For the first layout I played around with some of the stickers, cutting DSP patterns that went well together & chose two strong colours, Pecan Pie & Pretty Peacock as accent pieces for the background.

The breakdown of measurements for this page are:

Pecan Pie cardstock - 10cm x 21cm

Pretty Peacock cardstock - 7cm x 20cm

Dotty DSP & Floral DSP - 12cm x 16cm

The small dovetailed banner in the top right - 4 cm x 9.5cm

Two bottom strips of DSP - 1.5cm x 30.5cm & 2cm x 30.5cm

The rest of the layout has stickers from the sticker sheet plus a stamped image in Lost Lagoon, Wild Wheat & Gray Granite. The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock.

For the second page I wanted a mirror image of the first but I wanted different colours & patterns.

The measurements are the same but I chose Copper Clay & Lost Lagoon as the accent cardstock. Copper Clay is not listed as a co-ordinating colour but I loved that it picks out one of the bands in the bottom right hand sticker & how it is a nice contrast.

This time I only stamped some Copper Clay leaves in the left corner, using 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation to give a variety of tones.

I enjoyed stretching my creativity this week with a scrapbook layout & am now a little more confident to play around with more layouts & materials.

So that's it for this post. I really enjoyed creating this scrapbook layout & hope you enjoyed learning how I made it, now I'd like to share some of the latest news from Stampin' Up®.
