ROAR! lets explore Dinosaurs with the Darling Dinos bundle

 Hello & welcome.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.

For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

Today I am sharing some super cute cards made just for the kids or dinosaur lovers in your life.

They were made using a gorgeous stamp & die bundle called Darling Dinos. I had so much fun playing around with these projects & I hope you love them too.

For my first card I chose to use some beautiful Marbled Elegance DSP to create a concertina funfold.

The base of this card is a 10cm x 14.85cm piece of Smoky Slate.
I then cut a piece of 30.5cm x 14.45cm Marbled Elegance & scored it at 5cm, 12cm & 20.5cm, folding the score lines in valley, mountain & valley then adhered it to the base.
There are 3 large & 1 smaller Basic White pieces cut with the square Stylish Shapes dies.

For the front piece I rotated it to make a diamond shape & stamped some grass & leaves in Lemon Lime Twist plus a couple of flowers in Memento black. These were coloured with Pumpkin Pie, Bubble Bath & Fresh Freesia blends. I also added a sentiment.
A cute dinosaur was stamped in Memento black & coloured with Gray Granite, Lemon Lime Twist & Fresh Freesia as well as a bow tie which I coloured with Melon Mambo. The dinosaur was raised on dimensionals & added to the diamond which was then added to the first fold.

On the second fold I added the small diamond with Happy Birthday & some leaves.

On the 3rd section I changed the orientation of the shape & stamped some grass & another flower which I coloured with Lemon Lime Twist, Darling Duckling & Pumpkin Pie.
Next, I added some strings for balloons then stamped another dinosaur, a hat & some balloons in Memento then coloured each one in with Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Strawberry Slush, Fresh Freesia & Peach Pie. Two of the balloons & the dinosaur were raised to different levels with mini glue dots & dimensionals.

The final diamond is for writing & has some grass stamped & was then adhered to the base.
I could see this being used for a girls birthday.

My second card is a scenic adventure with a twist - it's also a tri fold.

The card base is Lemon Lime Twist, cut to 10.5cm x 29.7 & scored at 10.5cm & 21cm.
2 10cm x 14.35cm pieces of Basic White were cut for the front & inside.
The front was blended with Copper Clay & Balmy Blue. Some rocks were stamped with Copper Clay,  Garden Green grass & some balloon strings in Memento black. To create some glittery pebbles I applied dots of liquid glue then added bronze embossing powder before heat setting them. I also added a sentiment in Bronze.

Three dinosaurs were stamped in Memento along with some balloons, a hat & bow tie. These were coloured in Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Freesia, Shy Shamrock, Petal Pink, Peach Pie, Melon Mambo, Azure Afternoon, Sweet Sorbet & Daffodil Delight.

I added a piece of retired Brights 6" x 6" DSP to the first fold & a Bronze heat embossed sentiment with 'gravel', punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagons punch.

On the reverse panel I added retired Toadstool Gardens 6" x 6" DSP plus some Cajun Craze rocks.
The final piece of stamping was to the inside writing panel where I added some Basic Gray dinosaur footprints.

While this could be used for a boy or girl's birthday I think it would suit a boy more.

These were so much fun to create. It's such a cute bundle.

So that's it for this post. I hope you enjoyed my creations. Now for some news & information from Stampin' Up®.

EXCITING NEWS!

If you shop with me then there are some new changes to the rewards program that you should know about. In the past we were able to create a host code & group together individual orders & pass on the 'hostess' benefits to customers with qualifying orders. This has now been replaced with a 'Rewards' program that gives all customers who place an order with a qualifying amount a credit of 10% of their order to use on future orders. This will be displayed during the checkout process or your order. Stampin' Up® feel that this is a fairer way of rewarding all customers.

There are a lot of new ways to craft on offer at the moment which I will go through one at a time.

Ready?

1Stampin' Up® have decided to introduce an advent calendar called  the12 days of Christmas, just for crafters! YAY!
The calendars work the same as traditional chocolate calendars in that they have windows that you open each day in the lead up to Christmas (if you can wait that long!) & inside are surprises for you that are all craft related. We don't know what's in each window, Stampin' Up® haven't given us any clues except that there are exclusive dies, papers, embellishments just to name a few.

If you would like to order one then go to my online store here

2. Stampin' Up® have just released 2 new joining offers for anyone who is interested in joining & saving a lot of money.

These offers are available from the 1st October so if you're interested in joining then I suggest you check out the catalogues & online exclusives to see what you'd like in your starter kit.

3. Virtual Craft Classes will now be available to purchase from my online store starting with the very first class, scheduled for October 24th - that's less than 2 weeks away!

The class will feature the beautiful Traditions of Christmas Suite collection. Don't worry if you can't attend online at that time as you will have access to the recorded class after the event too! There will be an exclusive Facebook group just for Card Classes which you will receive a link to join when you purchase the class. If you would like further information please contact me.
Lastly, there have been lots of great items added to the clearance rack which is now called Last Chance items so make sure you check them out using this link to my online store.
