An apple a day.... creating with Apple Harvest

 Hello, welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. If this is your first time here, thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you. If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍

Today I have some to share with you that were created with the Apple Harvest stamp set & Apple Blossom dies. I love apples so creating with these products was loads of fun.

The first card I have for you is a favourite of many people (& great for cooking), the Granny Smith apple.

I started with a Basic White card base, adding a strip of the 2022-24 In Colour DSP matted on Early Espresso cardstock. I stamped the image on Basic White using Memento ink & coloured the apple, blooms & leaves with Shaded Spruce, Pale Papaya, Granny Apple Green, SU700 & SU800 blends. For the centre of the apple I wanted a very light colour so after using the blends I picked up some of the colour using the Colour Lifter pen. The branch was coloured with Crumb Cake & highlighted with Soft Suede markers. This was then diecut using a Stitched Shapes circle then matted on some Granny Apple Green cardstock, diecut with the Layering Circles dies. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso & diecut using the label die from the Apple Blossom dies. To finish off the card I added some Amber gems.

The second card features the Golden Delicious apple. Yum.

I chose an easel fold this time & Soft Suede cardstock. The front part of the easel was embossed with one of the Basics 3D embossing folders for some added texture. The single apple image seemed perfect for a get well type card so I chose 'Hope you're feeling better' for the sentiment on the front.

The image is coloured with Daffodil Delight, So Saffron & Pineapple Punch blends for the apple. The leaves & step were coloured with Soft Suede & Granny Apple Green. You can also see a little splatter pattern on & around the apple which is Early Espresso ink. There is also a trellis style image that is stamped in Early Espresso to which I added some leaves diecut in Granny Apple Green & Garden Green.

As there was a trellis pattern on the image I decided to add a trellis pattern diecut from the Share a Milkshake dies in Early Espresso. I used some of the pieces left from the trellis to fill a few spots in the trellis & added some as embellishments rather than gems.
I used a blossom for the inside step coloured with SU700 & Pale Papaya blends. This was adhered to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock diecut using Stylish Shapes dies along with some of the diecut leaves. To enable to card to sit up when open there are some dimensionals attached.

The last card created this week with this set is from my Midweek blog #82.

Full details for this card can be found in the link above.

That's all I have for you this week. I hope you enjoyed my creations. My next blog is another Midweek blog which features some more of the new In Colours from the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. Each week I have been sharing one of the cards I created during the Online Stamping Retreat I attended in April.
