Zoo Crew craziness

 Hello, welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. If this is your first time here, thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you. If you're a returning visitor, thank you so much for supporting me! 😍

This week's cards are created using the Zoo Crew Suite featured in the new Annual catalogue. The suite comprises of the Zany Zoo stamps & dies, Zoo Crew DSP & a duo ribbon pack with Lemon Lime twist & Petal Pink as the focus colours.

Now, our family has had a pretty tough week with my daughter being hit by a car, writing off the one she was driving & resulting in a 3 day stint in hospital & 2 rods in her arm. It's been pretty frightening for us all but she's safely home with her partner & groodle, Daisy, & we can now try to get back on track. Because of this upsetting event I haven't been able to craft as much this week but I did have time for one new creation with this bundle & I've also included a couple of cards that had previously been made. I hope you enjoy what I have to share.

The first card I have for you is a celebration card with lots of bright colours.

On a Basic White card base I added a matte of Lemon Lime Twist. I used the reverse of some of the Zoo Crew DSP which I coloured with Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write© markers for the next matte. I fussy cut the raccoon with balloons & the sentiment but used one of the Layering Dioramas dies for the partying pup. The raccoon was coloured with some more markers but the pup didn't need any. The images & sentiment were then mounted on Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lime Twist cardstock before being attached with dimensionals. No bling needed for this one!

The next card was created for a work friends engagement. She's not a hearts & flowers kind of girl & loves the zany things in life so this suite was perfect for her card.

As we needed a lot of room for our work group to all write a message I created a triple step card with pop up elements.

The base is Lemon Lime Twist for the base & the contrast mattes are Berry Burst & Parakeet Party. I used some Bright & Beautiful DSP & Basic Black cardstock to give it some sharpness.

I stamped some balloons & strings in Mango Melody, Pool Party, Berry Burst, Magenta Madness, Parakeet Party & Blueberry Bushel. I also added some extra mattes on the reverse of the card to allow plenty of room for everyone to write their message.

The last touches were some 2021 - 23 In Colour jewels & some stamped balloons for the envelope.

The final card I have made with this suite was featured in my Midweek Blog #83 on Wednesday. Here's a recap of the pics.

So that's it for this week's creations. The suite lends itself to co-ordinate with so many different stamp sets already in my stash. I still have so many more creations on the go with this suite but I will be sharing them with you at a later date.

To continue on with sharing my Online Stamping Retreat creations with you, this week I have a Cylindrical Pop Up fun fold created originally by Kylie Bertucci.

It looks just like a regular card at first.

But when you open it up you start to see that it has a special feature inside....

Then when it's fully open....

...there's a panoramic view!

Here's a closeup of the pop up section of the card.

This was created using the Happy Forest Friends DSP. There is a layer as a background then another piece which I fussy cut to create the pop up tree section. The bear is fussy cut & mounted on dimensionals & the leaves, bird & flowers are also fussy cut & added to give more 3D elements. I think it's stunning & love how well it turned out.
