Flight & Airy Sale-A-Bration paper

Hello & welcome to my blog,

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

This week was a wonderful week for our family as we all came together to celebrate my eldest daughter's engagement. It was a wonderful chance for family & friends to get together, eat, dance, drink & catch up.

This week I've created two cards using the beautiful FREE Sale-A-Bration DSP called Flight & Airy. This paper is so pretty with loads of flowers, birds & branches but there are also lovely plain backgrounds so at first glance you think, female cards but it is versatile enough to use for male cards too. Here's what I have for you...

I love the simplicity of this first card. I used Starry Sky & Lemon Lolly as mattes for the DSP & an embossed piece of Basic White. The folder is Twigs & Sprigs & the dies that made the circles are Stitched Shapes & Stylish Shapes. I used Starry Sky for the sentiment which is an Online Exclusive called Filled with Fun & finished the card with some Adhesive Backed Solid Gems. It's such a dainty card. I love it.

The second card uses fussy cutting as well as embossing. To highlight the pretty colours in the DSP I chose Berry Burst & Pretty Peacock. The matte is embossed using the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder & the sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock & matted with it also. There are lots of sheets of these beautiful birds in various configurations, single, doubles, lots of greenery or sparse greenery & I've spent some lovely evenings fussy cutting them while watching the tv. The sentiment was diecut using the All That dies & I added some Simply Elegant trim behind it & raised it on dimensionals. The finishing touch was using up some of the last of my 2020-22 In Colour enamel dots.

So that's it for this card. Now I'd like to share a little bit of information about how to purchase any of Stampin' Up®s beautiful products.

Stampin' Up® has a number of ways to purchase their lovely products. You can look through their physical catalogue or browse through the Annual catalogue online  but there are also some products that are only available exclusively online that don't appear in any catalogues. This week I have a lovely kit called Blossom Wishes. It's a no-stamp, everything in the box kit that creates 8 beautiful slim line cards.

If you love it too then here is a link to my shop.

This one is a little different as it's not cards but gifts or home decor that you can make.
It's also a great gift for anyone who likes to create but isn't confident or doesn't have a lot of supplies. These are available in my online store or there's a link below if you feel you 'need' this one. 😁

A lot of demonstrators use the special Host Code for their customers but I'm trying it this year as a new idea to see if this is what you, my customers would like to use. If you shop with me then don't forget to use this month's host code FPEXGVDF. This will allow me to pass on any hostess benefits to customers when the sales reach the required qualifying amount.

Lastly, there have been lots of new items added to the clearance rack so make sure you check them out using the link above to my online store.

If you would like to purchase any of my creations that I feature in my blogs they can be found in my FaceBook shop at craftedbyalison or you can order something unique.

If you would like me to send you a copy of the new Annual catalogue then please message me via my FaceBook page, Crafted by Alison or send me an email at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

My next blog is on Wednesday & I will share with you how to use scoring as an element on your cards.

In next week's Sunday blog it's Daisies, Daisies, Daisies with the Fresh as a Daisy collection. I can't wait to show you what I create with it! I hope you can join me for both of those.

Well, that's it for another week. I hope you enjoyed this post & come back for more next week. Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison.
