Midweek blog#180 - Using the Wildflower Birthday specialty DSP to create quick & easy cards

 Hello & welcome.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.

For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com. Throughout this post there will be some links to my online store if you would like to purchase any of the products I feature. Just click on the blue hyperlinks & it will take you directly to my store.

Today I have 2 cards for you that use products from the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. In the pack there 12 sheets of paper - 2 each of 5 double sided sheets & 2 each of diecut images which include gold detailing. The only extra things that I needed to create these cards was the card bases, adhesives & embellishments. Using the diecut images is a quick & easy way to create beautiful cards. I hope you enjoy them.

These cards were so easy to create. Just some card bases, a matte & a little stamping.

The first card has a Blueberry Bushel base & I have added one of the mattes from the DSP pack. Over this I have added 3 cupcakes, some on dimensionals & mini gluedots for added dimension, a stamped sentiment on a precut banner, a gold flag banner & 3 2024-26 In Colour Shimmer gems. Quick, bright & suitable for a birthday, new baby or other celebration.

The second card has a Basic White base with a Blueberry Bushel matte, a different pre stamped matte, a pre cut slice of cake, stamped banner & some Gold Open Weave trim. The banner & cake are raised on dimensionals & there is also a small pre cut floral spray adhered to the banner. Super easy & ready for a birthday, wedding or other celebration.

These cards came together so easily thanks to the pre cut images & mattes. I have also created using some of the images as well as the DSP sheets & stamping in my 4th June 2025 blog post.

The DSP is beautiful & will still be available but the suite that it belongs to is discontinuing (as a collection of items) as is the Gold Open Weave trim so if you want some of the trim then head on over to my online store & grab some before it's sold out.

That's all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed seeing this quick & easy way to make beautiful cards. My next post is on Sunday & features a gorgeous kit called Alpine Air.

My next midweek post will feature some more funfolds made with the Floral Delight Suite.

I hope you can join me for both of them.

Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
