Midweek Blog#181 More fun folds with the Floral Delight DSP

 Hello & welcome.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.

For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!

Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

Stampin' Up® have many ways of shopping with a physical catalogue, online shopping & in person events. When items are about to be retired or are running low they are put on the 'Last Chance' list which means that there is limited stock & when it runs out, it's gone.

All good things must come to an end so this week's fun fold cards have been created with some beautiful DSP from the Floral Delight suite which is on the Last Chance list. I shared some fun folds made with the same DSP in my 24/8/25 blog & today's cards continue on from there. I hope you enjoy seeing more of this lovely paper, and remember, if you love it then you need to head over to my online store to grab some while you can.

My first card is all yellow & white with a touch of brown & greens. Just like a pretty spring day!

The base is Lemon Lolly & has a Basic White matte embossed with the Plaster Painting folder. over this there is a strip of DSP with a fussy cut bloom as well. Then there is the sentiment, stamped in Pecan Pie on Basic White with one part diecut & the other on a label. These were added to a strip of Pecan Pie that also has a strip of co-ordinating DSP then raised on dimensionals.

The final step was to diecut a Lemon Lolly & Basic White tag, add some fussy cut flowers to one & trim the edges, attach some Daffodil Delight & White ribbons & slide them in under the sentiment strip.

Here's a pic with the labels out of the card.

The second card has a Basic White base & two Basic White mattes - one has been embossed with the Mini Corrugated embossing folder while the second has one corner scored & folded diagonally from one side to the other. The top matte also has some pretty DSP added. Over this there is a strip of Balmy Blue with some more DSP which has a sentiment stamped directly on it in Pecan Pie.

The final step was to diecut a Balmy Blue & Basic White oval with the Everyday Details dies. The white label has a sentiment stamped in Memento Black & there is a cute little Daffodil Delight knot of ribbon.

Two simple cards that with all of the extra little elements become lovely cards that would look lovely on someones mantle.
That's all I have for you today. I hope you've enjoyed this second look at the gorgeous Floral Delights DSP.  Remember to head over to my shop if you would like to grab some before it's gone.
My next blog is on Sunday where I will be sharing some alternative creations made with the supplies from the Alpine Air kit plus some other materials from my craft room.
My next midweek blog features more projects made with woven DSP strips like in my 20/8/25 post but this time the woven piece is run through an embossing machine to give a unique finish.
I hope you can join me for both of them.
Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
