Hello & welcome.
My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.
For those of you who have previously visited my blog & are now returning, thank you. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!
Here's a little bit about me. I love creating cards & gifts for my loved ones & this blog will show you how to create something special for those you love. I blog twice a week, once on a Sunday where I mainly showcase a stamp set or dies, embossing folders, projects & sometimes special DSP and Wednesday evenings when I highlight a technique, fun folds or tools & tips. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions & my email address for that is craftedbyalison@gmail.com.
Stampin' Up® have many ways of shopping with a physical catalogue, online shopping & in person events. When items are about to be retired or are running low they are put on the 'Last Chance' list which means that there is limited stock & when it runs out, it's gone.
Today I am sharing a fun stamp & die set that is sadly on that very list. It's called Classic Wedding & features an early model car, some sentiments & images to decorate the car with. I have used this set quite a few times when my kids have asked for a wedding card or a masculine card including in my 5th January 2025 post & my 19th March 2025 post. I have created a lovely gender neutral toned card with the vintage car as the main focus but with the lovely soft Coastal Cabana as the main colour. I hope you like it.
I chose a Basic Gray square base for something a little different, adding some Nests of Winter DSP. Next is a matte of Basic Beige before the Basic White matte that the stamping is on.
The car outline is Memento Black & the body of the car is Coastal Cabana with Real Red tail lights & Basic Gray tyres. I used Stampin' Blends© to create a road & colour in the bumper.
A Memento Black sentiment is the final touch. No bling this time, I'm just letting the simplicity of the card & the car itself be the main focus.
I love that this could easily be used for either gender & if you wanted to pretty it up you could add some ribbon or rhinestones or for a more masculine touch you could add some neutral toned dots.
So now I'll share the cards I mentioned before.
This gorgeous card has a base of Sweet Sorbet, there is a Pecan Pie matte & the car image is stamped on Basic White in Basic Gray & Smoky slate. The tyres were coloured with Basic Gray blends. The flowers, from the same stamp set, were coloured with Sweet Sorbet, Lemon Lolly & Lemon, Lime Twist. The cans are stamped in Smoky Slate.
The cans, banner, flowers & hearts are all diecut with the matching dies. I used Gold foil sheets & Sweet Sorbet for the hearts also. The final touch once all of the elements were placed where I wanted them was to add a Sweet Sorbet bordered ribbon to tie it all together. Super cute.

The second card is a classic birthday card, perfect for a masculine moment...
The vintage card starts with a Basic White base. A piece of Country Woods DSP was added to the left of the card. The car image was stamped in Pebbled Path & Basic Beige. I used second generation Balmy Blue for the rear windows. The tyres are coloured with a Basic Gray Stampin' Write marker & the tail lights were coloured with Poppy Parade. The window surrounds, bumper & latch are coloured with Light Smoky Slate blends and a scribble of Smoky Slate created a 'road' for the car to ride on. This image was then backed with a Pebbled Path matte. The Pebbled Path sentiment is from Go To Greetings & the final touch are some Antique Pearls. Aren't they gorgeous? Here's a closeup of the pearls & the rear windows...
The final card has a retro 60's vibe...
This card took a little longer than the first card as it's a funfold with mounted DSP layers that came from one sheet of 6"x6" Full of Life DSP. The base is Basic Black with Basic White mattes.
The card starts out like a regular card, 21cm x 14.85cm. The scoring is different though, with a regular score line at 10.5cm then another at 15.75cm. The mattes are 14.45cm x 10.1cm for the inside & 14.45cm x 4.85cm for the side panels. The DSP is cut at 14cm x 7cm for the inside & 14cm x 4.45cm for the panels.
The image was stamped directly onto another piece of the Full of Life DSP & diecut. The bumper, window surrounds & latch are diecut from Gray Granite. After the tail lights were coloured in Poppy Parade & the tyres in Basic Gray I adhered it to a Basic White circle diecut with the Stylish Shapes dies. The flowers & heart are diecut from scraps of the DSP with the flowers embellished with Iridescent Faceted gems & the hearts covered with Wink of Stella which you can see in the following photo.
This last card is perhaps my favourite as I love the bright colours & the sparkly detailing.
In the
19th March 2025 post I shared a technique called Split Negative where you stamp two of the same image, heat emboss them in two different colours & then cut them both in half. These are then swapped so that you have two images that both have half & half of the embossed sides. Here's what I mean...
I love how these cards all turned out. It allows you to get so much more out of a stamp set that at first sight seems to be just for weddings.
Well, that's if for my creations. I hope you enjoyed this look back at a very versatile stamp & die bundle that is on it's last run. If you love it then make sure you grab the bundle from my shop.
